Today it has changed from ā€œyour application has been receivedā€ to ā€œapplication is being processedā€. Which makes me think there is a 2 week backlog at the moment.
Same for me. ETA 28.05

Re: First Ceremony of 2019

I received approval in August, but didnā€™t make it to November ceremony as it was fully booked. They prioritize people who applied earlier, rather than how fast they were processed. I applied in May 2018 and was approved in August 2018. There is a good chance there are 3000 ppl in the same boat as my...

Called them today and got info that I need to prepare Eur950.00 + 2 pics :) hopefully its true. I applied as German passport holder in Jul 2018.
Germans canā€™t have 2 citizenships - why would you abandon your German one and pursue Irish?

Re: Travel options after naturalization is approved

i know, i mean the quoted scenario is not talking about naturalization, but since with naturalization approval i send the card to inis I think this scenario works as well. And i also think I can't apply for a re-entry visa while having card with me 'just in case', but I might check with the re-entr...

Re: Travel options after naturalization is approved

You can travel without gnib, but must have valid stamp and visa in your passport. You can receive re entry visa without gnib - just attach a copy and the approval letter. When traveling, also carry a copy and the letter. No issues at all at the border. Also, never in 6+ years here was I asked to sho...
