Is it possible for your employer to apply with a higher salary ( for the sake of getting COS ) and then not pay you the same?

Companies caught doing things like that might have their licenses revoked per my understanding...

Just received news from my employer. My COS is approved but I was on Skill Shortage list(2136). Good luck to rest of applicants.

Good luck - should a good sign I hope - that means there is something to be reviewed - otherwise if points aren't sufficient there wouldn't be anything for review
