Is Single person discount = Recourse to Pubic funds?

Hello, I wonder if anyone can clarify this strange doubt I had recently. Forgive me, if this is ridiculously silly. I'm staying in 1 bed flat and get 25% single person discount in the Council Tax. Would this mean I'm benefitting by a re-course to Public funds? - A condition denied in my HSMP visa. J...

Hi, Two issues. One, unlike temp jobs, permanent jobs do take time. Sometimes even months. Depends on the Co. and the urgency of the job requirement. Some of my friends were working as Temps in their fields and kept attending permanent job interviews, till they got one. Some remain as Temps, as in f...

Re: Until you get a Job

HSMP means Highly Skilled Migrant - so I would try to act like one. Look how the guys from S.Africa or Australia approach the job market when they come here on HSMP. They prepare well for one month - provide all the work references, according to the profile / job spec, send a covering letter with th...

Re: Job and Taxation

What you might be taking could be the NI contribution. Your friend has paid tax to UK Govt. for the income he has earned in UK. You can get National Insurance rebate but, I would've rather done this before leaving and asked them to adjust it in the tax payable rather than asking them to return the m...

Re: Got job offer, need some input

It is illegal to obtain money from prospective employees in return for or promise of Job. If you want to, bring it to the notice of Home office and or Dept. of Works and Pension. (with the ongoing current situation here with the DWP boss, i can't promise anything though :-)) Basic commonsense, say f...

Most of the consultants know about it....

Hi

Did you make any rental agreement, and where it says the rent paid by me to XXXX is inclusive of the CT and or electricity + gas? And that XXXX pays the bills in his name.

In my opinion, if not, try to put one in writing.
