Hi John, Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I am assuming you paid £35 for the Document Checking Service. You said that 'All documents had been uploaded by me the week before. Last Friday I received an email from UKVCAS confirming that the documents were all correctly uploaded.'. I as...
Hello all My application for British Citizenship has been refused. Reasons "We wrote to you via email requesting the following documents in support of your application for British Citizenship. We do not appear to have received a reply to our request and we have therefore decided the application on ...
Hi everyone, I have a question regarding choosing council for your British Citizenship ceremony. On the new online application form, it asks "Do you want to attend a ceremony in a different council?" Does this mean we can choose a different council to our local council to do our citizenship ceremon...
Yes I did disclose everything, even parking fine which I paid in time. Its not an error that you can apply for reconsideration. I'd say wait until three year are passed. BTW I don't understand why did you get the fine? I mean you were in passenger's seat? The only full licence holder while a provis...
Hi Everyone, I am in the process of finalising my application for BC. My 12 month anniversary with ILR lapses on 4 Feb 2019. I have the following few questions and would really appreciate if any of the readers can help: 1. When applying online, is the date on application considered the date I press...
I have an email from when I paid online from 12/11/18 not after I've been for biometrics, does the body of the email say : Thank you for your application to the Home Office. Your application has been received and is being considered. It may take up to six months to make a decision on your case. If ...
Nerazzuri - do you mind pasting part of the email you mention above, my biometric appointment was 1st Dec, not received anything since. If you could let me know what email address you received it from or paste some of the text i''ll search my mailbox again. thanks The email comes from UKVI and is n...
You submitted far too many unnecessary documents. Citizenship is not a repeat of the ILR process. One thing that has me a little worried is people suddenly mentioning proof of address. I always find this quite hit and miss in this country as to what is acceptable. I'm submitting my application this...
I went to UKVCAS Croydon and I took pretty much every available document there. Even ones I'd already scanned, but also months of phone bills, council tax statements, water, electric, tenancy etc etc. All for residence proof. Many of which had been used for the previous ILR application, just for sa...
I agree, I applied on 15th Nov and have not yet got any reply. People who applied after me using NCS got their approvals. I paid for Premium Service but they there was a chaos at the centre. They delayed my biometrics by 3 hrs. There is nothing premium about the service. I share your concern, as I ...
Hello, I had applied for naturalisation in November 2018. My application is still pending. I need to travel outside the UK for 35 days next week. I've been regularly viewing application timelines and I've noticed that some people mentioning that approval letter states that citizenship ceremony must...
I applied early January and have my appointment this Thursday (17th January). I got the following email today (I cannot see anyone mentioning this before, so thought I would share, sorry for the copious whitespace, this is a literal copy paste...): I had this too. I paid for document checking by UK...
1. Passport(s) only are required for your proof of residence.
2. The 5-year list of addresses is not related to your route to ILR or your proof of residence. I only need 3-years residence in UK to qualify for BC, but still have to input 5 years of addresses.
Hello everyone Please I recieved email from Home office today saying that a communication will be sent to me and that it might take 3 weeks to get to me. Please what communication could this be. I applied for my British naturisation on the 15 November 2018. Please if anyone has ever received this k...
In my opinion it's best to take a new test. You obviously have no problem with English and paying £150 for the test gives you peace of mind. Also, bear in mind, the HO now regard the test certificate to be valid for two years only.
You should complain to the official UKVCAS email and also to HO. I agree, the whole system feels like a fiasco. Most people who applied in November and used the UKVCAS system have not received their approval yet. A lot of people who applied under the old system seem to have received their approval....
Hi, My partner (non-EEA) just got BPR card and as I am dual EU/British can apply for British citizenship straight away. When I applied for my British Citizenship I took my documents to be checked (by a council service I believe) before the application was sent so that I could hold on to my passport...
You will have received an email from UKVI confirming receipt of your application a day or two after your submitted it online. You do not get another acknowledgment from Sopra Steria or UKVI after attending your biometric appointment.
During you overseas stay did you maintain your UK residence? If yes, then I suggest it is not necessary to provide the overseas address of where you stayed. If no, then give details. It will not affect your application in my opinion.
If you apply online you use a separate downloaded form for each referee.
The paper application uses one form for two referees. I disagree with this method because the second referee will be able to see the personal data of the first referee. In this case I would still use one page for each referee.
