Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

So I attended my sopra appointment on 1st Dec for British Citizenship, submitted biometrics and referee docs, still not heard anything. Saw a comment in this thread that someone heard back 32 days after their biometric appointment. I guess bank holidays haven’t helped, but getting a little anxious ...

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

Hi for non eu nationals, where do you upload the passport stamps? There seems to be two options: "Residence in the UK" and "Proof of identity/travel history" The scan of your passport (including all stamps, and preferably all pages even if blank) goes under "proof of application" where it is a mand...

Re: ILE absent few years now apply BRP

Stellacat, Can you examine all of your trips since you obtained ILE and confirm if you were ever absent from the UK for a continuous period of more that two years? Hi johnhkg, if all the short trips I went back to seeing my in-law counts, I haven’t absent more than two continuous years. The Immigra...

Stellacat mentions ECO adding VIPP next to the entry stamp. I think this means "visa in previous passport" Anyone able to confirm?

I have just seen the first reported case of a UKVCAS citizenship application being approved. See November timelines thread. Case was approved 32 days after the applicant attended UKVCAS appointment.

Re: Passport Application - Dcoument Query

Birth certificates and marriage certificates are NOT required for passport applications after naturalisation!!! The guide is clear what is required for applicant through naturalisation. CR001, I agree that I was wrong and I know why. The wording of the passport application guide is confusing. There...

Re: Passport Application - Dcoument Query

Jordana, I have the paper passport application in front of me (you can get it from any post office). The guidance notes make things very clear. You need your birth certificate as well as your father's birth certificate and marriage certificate (but read carefully as it is different if you were born ...

Re: Entered the UK after 4 years of absence. Need advice!!!

I am not an expert on these matters. However, I would suggest that if you have been absent from UK for more than two years, you can expect UKVI to revoke your ILE/ILR if they find out. I have no knowledge of what UKVI do if the find out about your absence "years" after the event. However, the IO at ...

Re: Experiences using new UKVCAS for naturalisation/citizenship applications

Is anyone else who has already had an appointment still able to access the UKVCAS site to upload documents? Our appointment was on 20th Dec 2018, but we're still able to log in as of 4 Jan 2019. Just checking if its the same for everyone. Yes, #metoo. But I suggest you don't attempt to add/replace/...
