Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hey GB1210, Thank you so much for your message and encouragement, it means a lot. Can you explain a bit more about your case? The reason why HO refused your application and how was the hearing? I have a solicitor and we are now preparing the case. So many new fees, barista etc... I took some time aw...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hi Sk10, sorry for delay. The last few days have been very busy preparing everything for the appeal and also to digest the whole thing. To answer your question: My solicitor told me that a hearing date could take around 4 months but I have a friend who also had their application refused and they had...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Omo2323, I hear what you say but taking my refund and waiting until she's 10 means I would have to hide from them for another 3 years. What would stop HO coming after us now that they know who we are and where we are? The problem with finding a 7 year rule specialist is how bound are they to also on...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hi Jin022 Thank you for your suggestion. Would you really have a go at the premium service? I never thought of it but you saying it now sounds like a better approach. I believe the solicitors being interested in making the appeal means that they can make more money out of it which they will do. If I...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hi, Thanks for your input. A new application means paying all fees all over again right? She is 7 now not 8 but I guess being 7 fulfill the rule. I agree with Jin022. Since the reason for the refusal had to do with the number of years the child had spent in the UK, now that the child is 8, should a ...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Dear Arham208, Fear not my dear, there is a reason for everything. Part of me is at peace and so should you. They refused our claim on family life and basically everything else. Based on the 20 years rule etc.. It was a 12 page letter!! The main one and this is where I believe the critical decision ...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hi Kap05, Thank you for your comment. Yes, we have an appeal but at the moment this is all hard to take after so much hope. I am also angered that solicitors do everything they can to take money from you and it is now clear for me that I would have probably had better chances or even spent less mone...

Preview: Re: FLR(FP) Application time Hi Kap05, We've also sent further documents and it has now been 2 months and nothing. What's more stressful is that on their letter they mention a decision would be made promptly upon receiving the documents. Two months is no 'promptly' at all!!! I am thinking r...

Further documents request

Hi all, I have previously posted a question about HO position on asking for proof that children live with their parents at the same address and the fact they mention a decision would be made promptly upon receiving the docs requested. This promptly could take between 6 to 8 weeks as I've heard but m...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hi Jin022 People here are waiting for a long time. Some cases around 14 months other a bit less. I believe depending on the case really. I have sent my application in October last year so that's 12 months now. I have recently sent further documents in which HO said they would make a decision 'prompt...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Zee, When I contacted my local MP and he wrote to HO, on their reply letter the HO stated that if I was struggling with the same kind of struggle you're going through, that I should look for the social services in order to get help from them. We also have a 3 year old and a 7 year old both born here...

Hey Monz, Sorry to hear of your refusal but be very grateful and hopeful that at the hearing you will get your visa. I have sent them my documents on the 31st of September, haven't heard from them since then. Yours was quicker.. I have a friend who just got refused after a 16 months wait with the ri...

Re: Further documents request

Hi, Hopefully it won't take as long as you already have a visa. However, I have a friend who was renewing his current 2.5 year visa and after submitting his application, HO too a year to return his papers with the visa he already has been granted long ago. So I would say be ready for anything.can I ...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hi, welcome to the waiting team! There's a bunch of people here waiting after sending same documents requested by HO and we also have the same hope after reading they would make a decision '' promptly ''. Now, that '' promptly '' will definitely not mean within a few days as I expected. In my case, ...

Re: Further documents request

Hi there, Thank you so much for your reply. It does make sense when you put it all this way. It's just hard to understand that even with all evidences they have when application is submitted that they would still need to verify. We had no problem doing so but it all adds to the wait and frustration....

Further documents request

Hello all, I have been wondering and wanted to know if anyone here has a take on HO's policy of sending letters out asking for proof that children live with their parents? In my own case, after 11 months since application submitted for Leave to remain (human rights), they've requested more documents...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Catbelly, First of all congrats on your visa and thanks for sharing this moment with us. I just wanted to ask : Is your partner British? Your child was obviously born here right? How old is he/she? I have a friend who applied for FLP(FP) and after a 16 months wait they were refused with in country a...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Hi, We had to submit ours by the 3rd of September and HO contacted us requesting these docs over the school holiday, such a rush... I managed to get in touch with school a day before I passed all docs on to solicitors which was posted to HO the next day 30th. Everytime I approached the school to ask...

Re: FLR(FP) Application time

Zee, don't think your comment is appropriate as his/her question is a legit one. Some people here got decisions in 24/48 hours after providing further docs. Other, waited longer as it is in our case. I understand it is frustrating, I am on the same boat but I think we need to understand each case is...
