your case looks like pretty much as my friend. He submitted citizenship application in Dec 2015 then got acknowledgment in Feb 2016 and since then its under process. Thank you. To answer your questions: No they have no asked for further documents (I called and emailed them a lot to see if they need but never did). Finally got my approval after nearly 2 years from my application date! But I missed my 10 day window they mentioned as I was outside Ireland. Letter date 16th August but I collected on 31st August when I came back so I assume I was supposed to be included in the Dublin ceremony? Congratulation Omar...

I finally got my approval letter after nearly 2 years, I applied Oct 2016!! I don’t know for sure in our case but I am aware of people I know who’ve applied in the past who did not have their referees contacted.
