Re: Travelling with only UK residence card - Awaiting EU pre-settled paper application outcome

My wife travelled with it and back in 2021 without any issue. Her status:

- EEA card valid until 2023
- Settled status

There was no issue boarding with the EEA card and entering the UK.

She doesn't have any card related to the EU Settlement Scheme.

Re: Spouse visa appeal (article 8 human rights)

Earlier we received an email saying that there will be pre hearing of our appeal on Feb-11-2021 but we or our representative no need to attend it.
Can you respond to that email and ask for a status of your case?

Re: ESTA REFUSE

Well i will play end of this year again i mean after 7 month and lets see hows its goes .. Don't do that, unless you want to mess up your chances and probably be banned to enter the US forever. With so many attempts in a short time, they will see you desperate and a potential immigrant to the US. T...

Re: 3-6 points on my driving license after Naturalisation approval

I’ve informed the home office about the offence and they’ve put my invitation letter and certificate on hold as they were waiting for the outcome of the offence. Your citizenship was approved. I don't know why you felt you had to jump and write to the Home Office to inform them you had some words w...

Re: ESTA REFUSE

4 - 5 time ESTA refusals + returned home from the airport by a US immigration officer (who probably updated your records with the immigration).

I wouldn't try to apply again for 5 to 10 years. Then if you apply for a visa, prepare to show strong ties to the UK.

Re: Joining family member definition and reapplying for pre-settled status

Thank you both. I am aware that the status is valid until Nov 2024 but there will be a problem when applying for settled status in Nov 2024 as being absent for more than 12 months won't count towards required 5 year's continuous residence. So my question: is reapplying as joining family member an o...

Re: Good character

The problem is the mix and match. I have seen people getting the citizenship and having one of these in the distant past. Taken in isolation, these are not a big issue. But taken together, they could be held against you. It's hard to predict the outcome. Give it a try without overthinking and see wh...

Re: Can i travel to Ireland with current leave in the UK

Hello

Dubin is the capital of Ireland (Republic of Ireland). Republic of Ireland is an EU country such as France, Spain or Germany.

You need a Schengen visa in this case. Your UK residence won't be enough.

Re: Possible Length of Stay in Switzerland, Non-Eu Family Member, 90/180 days

Hello Your understanding sounds right to me. Did they stamp your passport at all? I have never seen a Schengen country bothering a US citizen about the 90 days. When they do it, it's for visa nationals where they can sometimes go through the passport, page by page, and check stamps to see how long t...

Re: Can I travel on Certificate of Naturalisation

Hello If you are at Heathrow with a naturalisation certificate, immigration officers won't refuse you entry. You may spend time at the border as they make their checks but they will let you in. However, no company would allow you to board with that document. Even if they issue a boarding card online...

Re: Good character

Hello The "Good Character" is not clearly defined and kept vague so it allows them great deal of discretion. 1 and 2 are fine. I have seen successful applications with a fine for late filling. As long as it's simply a late filling for which you got a fine, it's ok. 1 case of driving offense, is ok t...

Me thinking: why don't you for their British citizenship? Form MN1. Get them a British passport then travel without any further consideration about immigration.

Call Royal Mail. You may have to wait on the phone for a while, but eventually you will talk to someone.

They probably put the mail in another post for collection.

Who sponsored you? Were you sponsored by a UK resident yourself? You can state that you are going to pay for your child trip, this is not the issue. But your application makes me nervous. This is an entire household applying but not everyone together. You apply. Then when you get the visitor visa yo...

Why didn't you apply together?

Was the baby born when you applied for the visa for yourself? Where is the other parent?

Under 18, they will close their eyes on it. However, they want to see that as soon as you turned 18, you started making demonstrable efforts to regularise your situation including contacting the Home Office. Let say you turned up 18 and for 5 year you did nothing or could do nothing, then they won't...

To respond to your question, I believe that your chances of getting a US visa are very low. You said in your ESTA application that they never refused a visa to you before. Then you said the same to an immigration officer. The immigration officer was your last chance to come clean and correct your mi...

Re: APPLYING for pre settled status

Hello When you work, especially when you have a salaried income through PAYE, you automatically pay taxes. It means the system can automatically query HRMC records and find you there. If that doesn't work, it doesn't mean you are not eligible to the EUSS status. But it means they need to do manual v...
