Re: Acting as someone’s referee. Worried!

You are overthinking.

Many things in this country require a referees such as immigration applications, driving license, naturalisation... etc. People are used to sign these documents. I signed many. You are not guaranteeing anything apart that you are signing for the correct person.

Re: How is an application automatically withdrawn when travelling outside the UK when application is still under progres

That would be equivalent to cancelling your application. Because if you tell them you are now abroad, they will go ahead and consider the application as withdrawn. You can cancel here and ask them to return your documents: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/Return_of_Documents.ofml Careful wi...

Re: Visit Visa - Refusal

I don't think you should concerned yourself too much about the application in 2013. At the time, that application was successful and inevitably circumstances have changed since. What they need to see is someone with strong ties to home country: business, work, possessions, family... etc. One of the ...

Hello It's really hard to help someone in this state of mind. I tried and I failed. Someone I used to know was in the UK for 25 years+. He was married to a British women and had 3 kids with her. Entered the UK with a visitor visa and never left. He was ok most of the time but he wasn't mentally soun...

Re: How is an application automatically withdrawn when travelling outside the UK when application is still under progres

It depends on factors beyond your control. If the application has not been decided when you leave the country, it will be withdrawn. You don't need to tell them, that happens automatically (when it happens). If the application was already decided, it won't be affected by your travel. But you don't k...

Re: Timeline for Schengen France visa

Appointments are crazy these days.

A friend of mine is trying to get an appoint for a US visa, they told him next date is in January 2023!!!

For EU countries, the wait time is in months these days.

Hello, The decision doesn't make you British. Your are British only when you attend the ceremony at the Council, sign and receive your naturalisation certificate. Before that, you are still foreign national and you can still use your current immigration documents. So again, even with a positive deci...

Re: NonEU Spouse Travelling to EU

It doesn't work anymore. I am EU and my wife non-EU. I used to travel with her and she never needed a VISA to visit EU with me. We had issues at the borders at the time and we have been stopped many times but always let go. However, as now the UK is not in the UE, you are outside the UE and you need...

Re: Applying from abroad

Never apply from abroad. They will see it and they will notice that on your application date, you were not in the UK. This can trigger a refusal with a loss of application fees. Don't do that please. For the PCNs, depends what type of PCNs. If it's something given by a private parking warden because...

Hello,

A relative applied 3 weeks ago. The visa was ready for collection within 8 to 10 days.

It was a straightforward application with many expired Schengen visas in the passport and visas for US and Canada.

Hope this helps

Hello, Sorry for that :( When you are 18+, you become an adult and you lose any immigration option through dependency. Who is the British citizen? Your brother? Having a British citizen brother doesn't open any immigration route for you. That's why probably you didn't get any response really. But yo...

Re: Visitor Visa Help for my parents

Hello, This is a vicious circle where there was a less than ideal immigration history in the past but even if the conditions of the person changed, that stigma remained. Reading your post, I understand you already applied for a visitor visa and it was refused. Is that correct? If this is the case, f...

Hello

You don't report anything.

Your application was true at the moment you submitted it. You don't update the Home Office about your driving records after the application.

Hello Were you born as an UE citizen? Or do you have any special immigration situation in the EU prior to your EU naturalisation? I have seen cases slow like that but typically the applicant was an asylum seeker from a country that raised a flag somewhere. That was indeed prior to the EU naturalisat...

The EU Settled Status doesn't offer visa free travel to EU countries. That freedom has ended.

If you didn't use the NHS during your time in the UK, you can mention it as a kind of mitigating factor. At the moment, you have to play with the cards you have in hand.

Good luck!

Just being genuinely curious. Can someone request for a police record (including arrest or not) to be deleted in the UK? Is such a thing possible? Under certain circumstances, especially when the person was juvenile, there are options to get that deleted. It won't be part of any record and nobody w...

If she puts money on her account to makes it look good, she will be declined on that basis. If she does that, I can guarantee a visa refusal ...

Hello, When they hear the key words "CP", most people stop listening to any further justifications. They may think you did something but the police couldn't take the mater to court for whatever reason. I can't even think what happens if you go to US immigration and tell them: look, I was booked for ...

Re: Your Visa Application: VAF xxxxxx - Additional Documents Required (what should I write in subject line)

Just respond and don't change the subject line. Just hit "reply", attach the documents they request and write a couple of lines with that. But never change the subject as it contains a case number that automatically assign it to your case.
