Re: Declaring old fixed penalty points?

First you need to determine whether your traffic offences were Fixed Penalty Notices or Penalty Charge Notices. For instance, driving in a bus lane is a PCN and does not need to be declared. Driving without MOT is a FPN and needs to be declared. The naturalisation guide asks for all FPNs to be decla...

Re: citizenship application with 6 points on driving license

It's weird when they use examples of disqualification or driving without insurance. There is space on the online application to declare "Something else..." and this is where this would fall into. I guess in your case you'd have to consider the 3rd point - i.e. in the past 3 years you received 2 or ...

Re: citizenship application with 6 points on driving license

Fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed, although will not normally be taken into account unless: • you have failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result • you received 3 or more fixed penalty notices at any level • in the past 3 years you rece...

Re: citizenship application with 6 points on driving license

Fair enough. As I said, we declared under "Something else...." where it asked about any offences ever, my interpretation was Fixed Penalty Notices had to be declared. We did it just for peace of mind. But you're right, all this is just advice and you have to make the decision ultimately.

Well that's a shame user Ty3 can't receive messages yet. Definitely would've been the best person to share a similar experience. That said, they do have an active thread of their own down about 10 spaces asking about First Passport referee, you could ask there and they'd get a notification of your q...

Also, are you American? If you are, then you don't even need this test. Only the Life in the UK certificate.

Re: Expired IELTS. ILR before english exam was introduce.

I took my english exam last january 2017 and it will expire next month. My question is can I still use my english exam even if I didnt use it when i settled?. Additionally, if you took the test in Jan 2017 and never used it then it's already expired for Naturalisation purposes. It'll be 3 yrs next ...

Does being a dependant on someone who is in breach of their visa affect your BC application? I appreciate the linked case that vinny attached but that case was to do with the individual's illegal activities rather than the visa itself. In my case it is the opposite - no illegal activities by both m...

I don't know about you but for your kids, it depends with when the home office first became aware of your presence, when you first sought asylum or when you got it. You'd need to give your immigration history to be better advised.

My problem is that, I am confuse. I dont know if I was given a caution.
Your application was in June, response might already be on the way before you start rocking the boat, why don't you start by going to your local police station and ask for clarification?

Can you please tell me how long it take for caseworker to take decision on the case once it assigned to them?
I don't think anyone could give you an answer to that. Each case is handled on it's own merits.

Re: Awaiting Naturalization application response

You could discuss your frustrations with your parents rather than venting here. It's possible they also didn't have a clue.

In terms of it being 2 months already, you could peruse the Timelines threads to give you an idea and gauge when you might expect a response.

🤦🏽‍♀️ Your ignorance is palpable!
If you know something that I don't that will help the OPs query then just say it! This kind of condescending but ultimately void language and attitude helps no one.

Or, should i leave a passport with them? Also, I had it for 2 past years only, and the previous passport for 5 years. Do i leave an older passport with them in that case, or its copy? Re: Employment history

Mention dates as best as you remember them. Months/ Years if you can't remember exact dates. If you want to be accurate you can apply for your HMRC SAR https://www.gov.uk/guidance/hmrc-subje ... ss-request but that takes minimum 1 month.

Re: Can I apply for British citizenship if my child is British

Please do not post incorrect advice . For ilr a person needs 5 years residence on a qualifying visa (or 10 years if on a 10 year FLR fp route). There is no route anymore that is 3 years visa for ilr as spouse of British citizen. Fair enough, I stand corrected. However we all post what we believe to...
