Your in a similar position to me. You can only apply for the Spouse Visa 3 months before your intended travel date to the UK, and you have to enter the Uk within 28 days of the start date of the Visa. I too would have presumed question 3.1 was regarding previous marriages, until I came across this topic.

Question 5.12 is similar as well

I'm in the same boat as you as after mortgage, Bills etc are taken out, i don't have a huge disposable income.
