Re: Person ID

Apologies I didn’t read the entire thread in detail. Thought you were doing IRP renewal or filling in the initial naturalisation application, which you don’t need a Person ID.
Yes for Garda vetting you need a Person ID. Glad they were able to respond promptly.

Re: Person ID

If you don’t have it, just leave it blank or put n/a in it. It’s not a mandatory field and people who have never needed to interact with INIS by post will not have one.

Re: when i can apply Irish Passport?

You can’t apply for Irish passports directly. You need to apply for a naturalisation certificate. Approved asylum seekers need 3 years of residence, backtracked from the day of arrival into Ireland. Your wife can apply right now. You should go through the standard 5 year route from the date when you...

There is no such thing as changing category. You can simply withdraw the current application and start a new one.

There won’t be any issue whatsoever, but if you can show that you have made a renewal application, it may make it easier for you to pass through the border.

You don’t need to submit copies of the permit. They are issued by DETE so they have access to them anyway when they process your support letter request.

Re: Eligibility for Stamp 4 Support Letter after Job Loss and Unemployment: Questions on Dates and Criteria

To get a Stamp 4 support letter, you need to have been on Stamp 1 for 21 months AND having worked under Stamp 1 for 21 months. So the period you were made redundant needs to be excluded.

Re: Received Italian citizenship while on IRP stamp 4EUFAM

You don’t need to inform INIS but it would be good to. Just send EU treaty department an email explaining the situation. They will mark the record in their file and it will help your wife when she passes through the border in future.

I think I used to reply to everyone that asks about the estimated date - it almost always goes past the estimated date. One or two weeks are a norm. Don’t worry about it.

Re: Indian spouse of Irish citizen living in India, want to move Ireland

Well you can’t say your sponsor will just come to Ireland without any job or money, right? That would suggest to the visa officer that you may have to rely on social benefits, which will raise a red flag in your visa application. The requirement is that the sponsor needs to earn 40K euro in the last...

What advice do you want to obtain? What online can you not find? If you are referring to long-stay visas, surely your case is one of the most common scenarios and there should be advice everywhere, or are you looking for something else?

Thanks for the reply. Were you able to go to your bank and ask for statements back as far as five years? All banks are legally required to hold your data for at least 7 years. You are free to request for any data that the bank holds against you. They may charge you a reasonable amount of money for ...

samach is right. You should inform them that you should have said yes to question 11.1. A brief letter of remorse also helps. We barely see anyone getting rejected due to a traffic offence (other than those serious ones like excessive speeding and DUI). You can reach out to them once you get an appl...

Re: Short stay C visa for non EU/UK spouse

DFA does not have any saying in visa outcomes. DFA does not handle your visa applications at all. A typical short-term visitor visa is usually approved within a few days and no more than 3 weeks. However, it can vary significantly depending on the specifics of the application. How much savings do yo...
