Re: Ireland Study Visa refusal and appeal

I'm glad it all worked out well in the end. My advice to people submitting visa application to Ireland is to read the weekly published decision on the INIS website, there're some very useful info in there. Being aware of what they're looking will always help in filing a good visa application.

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

I guess I’m concerned it’s taking this long. What if it’s a rejection? Does anyone know if there are many rejections at final stage? I understand your worry @BabyJane but getting worried won't help in this particular situation. Given that the application is with the minister, all you can do is to w...

Applying for the Canadian visitor visa

hi guys,

just to ask if anyone has an experience of applying for a visitor visa to go to Canada recently? How does the procedure last usually? I applied at the VAC centre in Liverpool Street and was wondering how long it will take to get the visa.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

Applied in May 2017, both on the basis of residency and by association. Received second stage letter in July, was told in September it was being prepped to go to the Minister, then that it was submitted to the Minister and shouldn’t be too long until I’ve heard back, and when I rang last week was t...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

I doubt the delay is only about your country of origin. A friend of mine from Africa applied as non-EU Stamp 1 and 4, 5 year residency and he’s been waiting for over a year now. My guess is that applications are being delayed because they’re conducting some sort of investigations and checks and onl...

Re: Irish Citizenship application (Form 8) - How did you organise your application?

Some more analysis on processing times, based on ~60 timeline posts to this site. Horizontal axis is the date the application was sent in. Left hand axis is days to acknowledge. Right hand axis is days to 2nd letter and days to approval. What I get from it is: processing times were high for applica...

Interesting, I came across this article https://www.rte.ie/news/2018/1010/10022 ... -muojekes/ and thought that situations like these can be turned around.

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

Hello guys, I am losing hope to get approval on this ceremony too. I am really devastated with the department. Applied since 2016 June and still waiting. After 2nd stage since feb no update. I really don't know whats going on ? I just wrote them a handwritten letter by myself.I don't think changing...

Re: Meaning of letter

What is your timeline? basically it means that your application has just passed the second stage and is being prepared to submission to the minister. In other words, all you can do now is to wait until they get in touch with you. This will happen once the minister has signed off your approval. Good ...

Re: Second stage?

Hi thegoodaulleo Don't want to sound pessimistic as I'm only giving my honest opinion. This reply doesn't seem to be the second stage letter. In that letter, it clearly states that your application has been initially assessed and has proceeded to the second stage of the processing. I'd say that in y...

Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

well, 6 months is for "straightfoward" applications but then what qualifies such applications is unknown and as a result people are speculating and it isn't helpful at all. All you can do is to wait and enjoy the ride!

Re: Irish Naturalisation/Citizenship application delay

khurshah could you please tell us the wording of the letter requesting your new GNIB card? I mean do they mention something with the invitation to a ceremony as a reason why they need the new card? Other than that, there isn't much you can do than to wait. Hiring a solicitor or getting in touch with...

Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

M7edShin My advice to you at this time would be just to wait. Your application hasn't reached the second stage yet and until then there is not much you can do apart from waiting. I know there's a ceremony looming around but there's nothing really you can do to speed things up. in fact if you look ov...

@missstamper most of the applicants who are taking longer are non-EU with the vast majority being EUFAM applicants as you can read here https://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/delay-in-citizenship-application-t246135.html the fact that you’re an EU citizen clearly tells me that there must be somet...

What are you applying for? Citizenship or a visa? If it's citizenship then I think the form is pretty much self explanatory. Also this thread ireland/irish-citizenship-application-f ... 60466.html may help you
