Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

This is odd how is it that they send you approval letter and gave you 10 days to submit docs in order to be in next ceremony and then you received a call saying that this ceremony is full? Then why the deadline to submit documents? Also hassaanhaque a guy 2 post above you received his approval afte...

Re: Student Visa

Being honest about it, it won’t be that easy for you. One thing you should be aware is that you will have to disclose all your previous visa refusals presumably you should prove that those reasons have been mitigated in the context of the Irish visa you’re applying for. The first refusal from Canada...

Re: Need help to appeal for my mother Visit Visa application

Hi, We have clearly mentioned about all visa refusals and granted. I made a list and explained each and everything. I did not hide anything from and clearly created a list of visas with dates. if i re apply for the visa I know they will come back with the same reason and it may make application mor...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

Hi Guys! Anyone got approval who applied in mid of 2016? I am still waiting and not hoping for any approval for November ceremony. I am contacting some good barrister after new year in Dublin. According to procedures they have to make a decision in 30 months maximum. After that we should go for jud...

Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

Is there hope if I received the letter asking for Draft, photos and GNIB on Oct.23 to be included for this ceremony on the 26 or is that very unlikely? I sent all my docs next day after receiving the letter. fingers crossed. That's quite possible. My wife received her approval on 16/04 and had been...

Re: Visa situation while waiting for citizenship result

since you have a job, why can’t you switch your visa to a Stamp 1 work permit? would it not be easier to renew it?

Re: Need help to appeal for my mother Visit Visa application

don’t want to sound negative but i can’t see on which grounds you’ll appeal. One thing people don’t realise when applying for an Irish visa is that they share the information with the UK. So any immigration violation in the UK will be available to INIS. In this case, at the bare minimum you’d have d...

Re: Naturalisation & 6wk+ absences

I guess anyone who applied as stamp 4,1 has been over your situation. If you look over this forum there’re lot of examples. I also applied with stamp 4,1 and my application was approved yesterday. when I applied originally I wasn’t even aware of that 6-week rule. So my initial advice still stands. ...

Re: Reasons for citizenship delay

There’re many reasons for delay. One of them is to do with the basis of your application. By reading in this forum, EUFAM applications seem to be a nightmare route for citizenship with the easiest being spouse of Irish citizen. I doubt your current salary has anything to do with any delay. Something...

Hi @Mal111 I’m sorry to hear about your situation. You’re such a good contributor to this forum that I really hope that you’ll get over your issue. Unfortunately, I have never faced your situation. Maybe you should seek legal advice? It sounds like the kind of issue that an immigration lawyer should...

Re: Naturalisation & 6wk+ absences

I don’t you should be so obsessed with this 6-week rule thing. It was introduced in 2016 after the Brexit referendum presumably to stop an influx of applications but it clearly hasn’t worked out. Also the actual details of how it works are not clear. My advice would be to apply and forget about it. ...

Re: Ireland Study Visa refusal and appeal

I'm glad it all worked out well in the end. My advice to people submitting visa application to Ireland is to read the weekly published decision on the INIS website, there're some very useful info in there. Being aware of what they're looking will always help in filing a good visa application.

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

I guess I’m concerned it’s taking this long. What if it’s a rejection? Does anyone know if there are many rejections at final stage? I understand your worry @BabyJane but getting worried won't help in this particular situation. Given that the application is with the minister, all you can do is to w...

Applying for the Canadian visitor visa

hi guys,

just to ask if anyone has an experience of applying for a visitor visa to go to Canada recently? How does the procedure last usually? I applied at the VAC centre in Liverpool Street and was wondering how long it will take to get the visa.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: Final stage of citizenship application

Applied in May 2017, both on the basis of residency and by association. Received second stage letter in July, was told in September it was being prepped to go to the Minister, then that it was submitted to the Minister and shouldn’t be too long until I’ve heard back, and when I rang last week was t...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

I doubt the delay is only about your country of origin. A friend of mine from Africa applied as non-EU Stamp 1 and 4, 5 year residency and he’s been waiting for over a year now. My guess is that applications are being delayed because they’re conducting some sort of investigations and checks and onl...
