I went to my local Garda station in Waterford. Firstly the night before, but the jobsworth wouldn't do it, as I didn't yet have my CoN in my possession. Obviously, that's immaterial as the Garda's role is merely to verify identity, having had sight of my driver's licence (or other acceptable form of...

I might be able to take care of this all in one afternoon then, has anyone tried to take care of ...

Visas, however, are still dealt with at Burgh Quay. So, if you live in Goleen in Co. Cork, for example, you get your GNIB card from Bantree G...

If they do not ask for a certified copy, but ask for a copy, then I would send a copy, for you are complying with what is asked of you.

Re: Health insurance

According to the format of form EU1 I understand only those who reside with sufficient resources have to have health insurance. Is I have got this wrong who would need the health insurance? My foreign wife? Her son? Me? This adds up to 2500 euro if this is the case. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/F...

Once your mom has an Irish passport, you are sorted out. You just need to follow the various steps for the child of an Irish citizen. You use her Irish passport to join the foreign birth's register. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but since she was not born on the Island of Ireland (she was born ...

Edit: no they don't. I was thinking of self-sufficient, not self-employed. Apologies. I was mobile when I posted that. On a train, I think.

There's no reason why you shouldn't apply. Being in receipt of Jobseeker's Allowance is not, according to law, a reason to refuse an application for naturalisation.

Hi ceecee, As u r from EU therefore you can leave the GNIB number blank. The witnesses should be a solicitor . u can go to any solicitor along with the original documents. Good Luck You do not have to go to a solicitor. It can be any Irish citizen. At least they will not charge you for it Correcto.
