Re: First passport, What Birth Certificates Do I need?

If you are naturalised all you need is your other valid national passports, your mother and father details (no documents needed), your details (no birth certificate required) and a counter signatory who will need to sign on your application and certify your photograph. You also need to send your cer...

Re: Regarding previous holidays trips for British citizenship.

You need to attach the photograph to them and then scan them. Obviously if you wrote something on the back of the photos (signature and date) it wont appear in the scan but that’s fine. No just scan the referee documents. You cant send any physical copies, the whole UKVCAS process is digital. Thanks...

No just scan the referee documents. You cant send any physical copies, the whole UKVCAS process is digital. But as part of their check list , they are asking to provide the proof of living in the UK for my self and my wife. what do we need to provide. Passports. and we do not submit documentation, h...

Re: How do I know if the post did not lose my confirmation letter?

Looks similar to junk mail  the irony! There is no way to check online what your status update is. You simply need to wait to hear back from HO. It can take a couple of months up to 6 months and sometimes longer. Approval letters are set second class post in a brown A5 envelope. Looks similar t...

Re: Need Advice First Time British Passport after naturalization

In that case he should not include any middle name in his passport application, right? So your foreign passport has a middle name on it? OP has stated that passport does NOT have a middle name on the biometric page etc, which is why the citizenship cert was issued as it was, i.e to match the passpor...

Re: Need Advice First Time British Passport after naturalization

So your foreign passport has a middle name on it? Make sure not to confuse middle name with father’s name. On my foreign passport, I have the following: Surname: xxx Forename: xxxx Father’s name: xxx Mother’s name: xxxxx Father’s name is not a middle name in that scenario. Your passport application ...

Re: UKVAC document checking service: are documents sent earlier

I have bought their document checking service, and I received a confirmation email from UKVAC saying t...

Put the actual periods. If the contract started on 10/2/2015 and you have registered with the council soon after that then just put that date. It won’t make a difference anyway.. Hi , I currently hold ILR (tier 2 route) and planning to submit my application for British citizenship. Since i haven't b...

Re: Scan passports pages for Citizenship

I have high confidence that you only need to scan from 2008 onward but eventhough I am confident don’t take my opinion at face value :) Are you going to report your absences from 2006 or 2008, obviously depending on the route you are following. If from 2006 you will have to scan everything. They usu...

Re: No Surname on Naturalisation certificate

You shouldn’t apologise, it was a rude reply! If I were you, I would go for paper application through post office but first I would call HMPO and explain the situation before you apply so that you don’t pay and lose the money if there are other requirements/ suggestions by HMPO. Well apologies, but ...

What a shocking reply, some people honestly! This has been answered previously. Please search for it. Suggestion: Can we not have a section for Indian enquiries only? In that case it is probably better and safer for you to chose a name that will make it easier for her to apply for British passport and compromise on her marriage’s name. (Just an opinion) I understand that in some country it is complicated to change name on a passport. Hi Zimba, thanks for your rep...
