Re: Travel while PR application pending

To apply for citizenship I would have to wait 12 months after obtaining PR.
But if I prove 6 years of PR-period rather than 5, I can apply for citizenship after I get the PR.

Right?

Re: Travel while PR application pending

I have to apply for PR first, prove 6 years and then apply for Citizenship straight away, right? Today I am awaiting approval of PR. Last part that I have to think about is whether to choose to visit UKVCAS in person. So I can travel safely? Will I be able to travel after 29.03.2019 - 30.12.2020 whi...

No need to apologise, although its big of you. You are a great help to the community providing knowledge in those uncertain times. Thank you for all the help and I hope we all can provide clarity to this lengthy (& worthwhile) application process.

TRAVEL - to Poland from UK

I am a Polish citizen. I work and live in the UK.

How should I protect myself if I plan to travel in February, March and later this year if I plan to go to Poland for holiday in light of Brexit? Will ID suffice?

JCAP + NCS - since NCS is closing

From what I gather now you can apply for naturalisation + passport at the same time if you use NCS.

But NCS will be closing this year. Will I be able to apply for naturalisation + passport at the same time through new UK VCAS – service points?

Re: Joining a parnter after Brexit

That is truly great advice. I do have either P60s and payslips for all those periods.

How do you know there can be up to 6 months break in-between employment without a need for CSI?

Re: PR 6 years = Citizenship ??

If I use RESIDENCY QUALIFYING PERIOD: 1.11.2012 - 1.11.2018 and apply for PR now, will Home Office qualify 1.11.2012 - 1.11.2017 as 5 years Permanent Residence and 1.11.2017 - 1.11.2018 as 12 month residency so I can apply for Citizenship straight after that?

PR 6 years = Citizenship ??

PR docs and NA docs state that you need 5 years to get PR and 1 year after can get Citizenship or if you have stated for 6 years you could get Citizenship e.g. "If you’re not the spouse or civil partner of a British citizen, you must have held permanent residence status in the UK for at least 12 mon...
