i thought that new British citizenship rules wouldnt affect the hsmpians covered by JR ?.. people who had applied for hsmp (old rules) Prior to 3 April 2006 should all have obtained ther ILR by april 2010(4 years). there is no more old hsmp rules/people after this date i guess. if their dependants a...

yes your partner can switch once you have got ILR ....they may give your partner 2 years(probationary) visa..and then you could apply for ILR ...


But new citizenship law would increase that to 3 years if that 2 years period end after july 2011....

what a pain....

why do they ask for national insurance no?
have you applied to HO in the uk in 10 years ?

True...but since you haven't had a answer you are after , it might help calling them ...please let us know what they say...my wife hsmp is convered by JR...but looked VFS visa forms back home..confusing forms...

hmm..first time i saw this..ok r u covered by JR (hsmp before 2006)...then this might not apply...but still not sure....why dont u call up HO and ask ?

hi hsmp2tier1, oh i thought you had already changed the status...so r u going to do that then ?..i think , you have to change the her visa status to dependant in order to include her as your dependant in your application... or if you get ILR and then you could apply for FLR(M) for 2 years spouse vis...

i presume , she would have gone & applied...how long did it take there? was she working when she had gone home to apply ? did she need to prove anything ? sorry to bother you ...i am in the same situation ...my wife is a hsmpian and i hold a wp until 2010..it looks like she may get ilr before me ......

I have a dependant (my kid who was born here). if i changce my visa status (going to back to my home country) to dependant of my wife what will happen to his visa ?
. does he need to come out of the country?

if you come first time to the uk along with you dependant(s) then 2800 + 1600 for each dependant or if you had come first and lived in the uk less than 12 months & ur dependants appying in your home country then 1600 for each or if you had come first and lived here for more than 12 months then , £5...
