I have a dependant (my kid who was born here). if i changce my visa status (going to back to my home country) to dependant of my wife what will happen to his visa ?
. does he need to come out of the country?

if you come first time to the uk along with you dependant(s) then 2800 + 1600 for each dependant or if you had come first and lived in the uk less than 12 months & ur dependants appying in your home country then 1600 for each or if you had come first and lived here for more than 12 months then , £5...

Hi push_hsmp, The reason i am thinking of applying for FLR (M) to save myself. i m a workpermit holder and my wife is a hsmp holder & convered by recent JR. that means she may be getting her ILR this year and i am not sure how long this job can have me. My wife just got a full time job after 3 years...

Thanks guys...here is an another case

if i get spouse visa dec 09 (FLR-M) for 2 years with in the uk , when i apply after 2 years for ILR , new rules will be applied to me ....am i correct ?

i am bit unlucky ..ILR rules always change for me...

if they implement in 12/2010, people who ever applies wp/hsmp after this date will be affected by these new rules ...

and people who gets ILR before 12/2010 wont be affected by this...

is my assumption correct ?

Hi skuk,

you had metioned "you need to have completed 3 years by then though"

you mean as a dependant you should have lived in the uk for 3 years(under spose visa) or generally (you should have lived here for 3 years - say wp holder)

my case is also same but i would have to apply once my wife gets ILR end of this year. I am also a wp holder and my wife is a HSMP holder.

You cant change to dependant with in the country .. I guess, you can extend your visa based the marriage with in the uk, they use a form called FLR(M). But both of you have long term visa , extending visa doesnt make sense. but it frees you from sticking with the same employer ...you may get 2 years...
