Re: EEA family permit for mother

For a brief visit, a standard visitor visa should be ok https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor Thanks very much. My question is, is it possible for me to apply for family permit for my mother to come? To live with you in the UK? Does she qualify to live in the UK? https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-...

Sorry, what do you mean by that?
Does your father meet the requirements of being dependent on your EEA spouse, to be able come to the UK under the EUSS?

Alluding to the fact that her dependency will be assumed. Re: £400 Energy Support for all UK Households - Skilled Worker?

Hello there, you might be aware that UK Govt is offering £400 energy support to all households in the UK with electricity/gas connection. I am not sure whether this comes in public support or not. I have tried to look for answers but couldn't figure out. The Gov.Uk website (https://www.gov.uk/gover...

Re: Birth in the UK / letter from hospital

Although that letter states that treatment at an A&E is free for visitors, the UK government ran a consultation to see if they still wanted to provide some free treatment for visitors, or if they wanted these to pay. All the free treatment is funded by taxes and NICs and it was asked what free treat...

It's actually very helpful of them to point this out to save a shock when they have to pay for their child's healthcare after 3 months (or sooner if they have left the UK). https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1090896/overseas-NHS-visitors-...

Re: Birth in the UK / letter from hospital

I can see what they are trying to say, even if the termonology is a bit strange. That appears to be a generic letter they have decided to send out to those mothers who have a valid Immigration Health Surcharge. It's actually very helpful of them to point this out to save a shock when they have to pa...

I don't have specific advice about your father (and wish you the best of luck with it), but I'd like to understand what do you mean exactly by the fact that your wife hasn't applied for settlement scheme? She had to apply by 30 June 2021. What is her immigration status? OP stated: my mother has rec...

As Chinese citizens need to apply for a visitor visa to be able to visit the UK, https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa it sounds like all that happened was that she was refused entry becasue she didn't have a visitor visa? If you are renting and he is now living in your home, you will need to ask for permission for him to be able live in that property, from the landlord (private landlord/council/HA).

Trying to do it from within the UK will be painful and long-drawn for you and for him. Even if approved (which is unlikely given that he has a track record of not obeying the restrictions on his visit visas), he will almost certainly be placed on the 10 year route, with him have to making applicati...

I admire your optimism vinny, but the new Home Secretary Suella Braverman, will be tougher on immigration. Stircter than even Priti Patel (the outgoing Home Secretray) was and many thought Patel was tough: and as said by contenders in the leadership race (of which she was one) it's not fair on the B...

And lets not forget the Primie Minister has already said that she would support and extend the Rwanda policy. Meaning she would look for other countries like Rwanda, who will take asylum seekers in the UK: who would them allow them to live in that country if they are granted refugee status.

Re: UK curbs the power of European Human Rights in the UK

Abandoned for now. Where does the article say that? From your article It is abundantly clear from her previous statements that Braverman strongly opposes entry by asylum seekers without prior permission and that she is fully committed to Patel’s Rwanda policy. And the Bill to enable that to happen....
