Chandu - where did you get the info about 28 days? 27 days should be absolutely acceptable. It is a clear case of negligence by case worke...

You said in a previous post that you got an email. How long did it take for that? Also normally they send a hard copy letter .. isn't it - to the appealant and the representative/sponsor. I really doubt if these embassy guys really do have a common way of working or it is practically on their whim

hmmm... but then as per the flowchart it seems it is faster if one appeals at embassy as even if you appeal at UK they will first send to embassy. But guess you are right that in UK the appeal Id gets generated and then u can track it as well as one can expect a definitive date. wish u all the best ...

@roobaro and @jattboi -
Same boat as you. My wife appealed on 31st jan 2011 and not heard anything yet. Still waiting for any sort of response from Delhi BHC. As for your case... any updates?

@Shahzad - did you appeal in POST or directly in UK?

Absolutely that is acceptable. It is a original statement issued by bank. I had checked with couple of HSBC branches and they both said this should be deemed as original. May be individual ECO .. but in my case I am very sure they overlooked the originals as they clearly mentioned "photocopy". no me...

In addition to the "photocopy" goofup by the ECO In the notice of decision he/she has mentioned that my wife had applied for visa until 05/08/2012 while she had actually applied till 5th september 2012 i.e. 05/09/2012 i.e. till the validity of my Tier 1 visa. Thanks SushdMehta. I have decided I will appeal first and see if local BHC overturns the decision(hoping so). Maximus - Your case is even more obvious than mine. Hi sushdmehta thanks for all your input about forwarding to BHC So for a quicker result do you reckon I should send the appeal to local BHC( i.e Delhi ) and not to the UK directly? consolidating doubts after some more research

1) the letter of refusal and right to appeal say incase decision can be made without a hearing based on grounds of appeal it shouldnot take much time - does that actually happen? 2) Also if it takes long can I take back my appeal and instead make a fresh application? http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/ecg...
