Re: OCI Application - HCI London vs CGI Birmingham

You are wrong. Jurisdiction applies only to make life easier by enabling oneself to submit applications through the nearest consulate. It does not disbar anyone from applying in person at HCI London. As mentioned earlier, irrespective of which consulate you submit, it is processed through London an...

No, you don't need to submit original British passport till your OCI is received at london then is when you'd be required to send original.

Just mention your current employment PAYE, if required UKBA can ask HMRC for employment history based on your NI number. Just FYI - the self-assessment statement of account is required only if you are self-employed, working as limited company director is not the same. Limited company director is sti...

They are very prompt in response, just fill in the form, supply required documents and fees ... they normally reply back in 2 weeks...

I recently applied for my naturalization application with PSNI clearance which got approved last week, so if you need any help feel free to ask :-)

Original LIUK certificate not returned back with approval

I just realised that I haven't got my origianl LIUK certificate back from UKBA. Hounslow NCS asked me to submit my original LIUK certificate even though I argued saying it's not required as it has already been used during my ILR but they persisted and I eventually gave up and submitted my original w...

I too know it's only has to be Postal order, but was wondering if there is any way to get away without incurring that £12.50 post office charge - I guess not. I second you mate, I don't understand so high fees of surrender of passport - £117.24, its insane - its as if they are trying to squeeze the ...

No, applicants are only required to declare any convictions on the form, caseworker would carry out the checks themselves.

One exception to this is if the applicant is from Northern Ireland, when applicant is required to submit PSNI clearance letter.

Postal order

For surrender of passport, if you are applying through Postal you're needed to send Postal order.

It seems there is a cost of £12.50 to make a postal order of £117.24. this is ridiculous on VFS part- why cant they accept debit card details on form.

British Passport by postal

Some basic questions guys for applying for British Passport. I'm thinking of applying it myself rather than Check and Send - I know it's just another 10 quid but the application form seems pretty straight -forward. My only worry is that when we fill the application form online, how long is it that w...
