if I would be granted visa then it would start from my date of application that would be in October 2010. There is no rule which states that it will be from the day of application. Many people received it from the date of expiry of the Visa and a few received it from the date of application. I have...

I am shocked. I will have to extend my HSMP-Tier1 visa but it will be difficult to do under new rules (i.e. salary points are to 'expensive'). Will they require me to do this under new points system or will I use the current one? It is not fare to change rules for existing visa holders. I hope peop...

Yes, many employers seem to want a min 8 to 12months validity on your visa no matter what visa you hold. This is because they are taking you on board as a permie and want to ensure they wont have any issue with you regarding visas. I say this because when I used to be on a Work Permit, the Missus a...

1 year min visa for a few jobs

Hi all,

Was just wondering if anyone encountered this condition by a few employers about the candidate requiring a minimum of 1 year validity on their Visa ?

Atleast that gives me an opportunity and reason to extend 8 months in advance!!

Hi, everybody! I'm currently on Tier 2 General, but not too happy with my employer. Ideally, I'd like to switch to Tier 1 before April 2011, but for that I'd need to earn 65K - which is 15K more than I do currently. I do have clients from whom I could earn the "missing" part, but they are either in...
