Re: EEA Family Permit after Divorce

I’m still not quite sure how your husband applied for residency card if he is not living with you??? I just applied 3 days ago and I was sending rental agreements, council taxes, NHS registration etc to prove I live together with my husband Probably he went through pre-settle application rather tha...

Re: EEA Family Permit after Divorce

I think he got Eu settlement scheme pre-settled status, so currently HO do not revooke it. It is individual status for that person who received it for upcoming 5 years. It is not like EEA recidency because in EEA, non-EU is fully dependent on his/her sponsor, EE is not induvidual status for non-EU p...

Re: EEA Family permit visa(6months) - Start working

Hi, I have EEA family permit visa which will expire on 21st of June 2019, has been issued due to marriage to EEA spouse. I though I can work legally with it and also got permanent job contract which supposed to start form 1st of April. I already sent Surinder Singh route of my visa and explained my...

Re: Working in the UK on an EEA family visa

From what I understand, I have 2 options: 1. After I arrive in the UK, my wife and I should apply for pre-settled status. Once I get my pre-settled status approved, I can then show my employer my pre-settled status, which will give me the right to work. 2. I can apply for a residence card as a fami...

Re: EU Settlement Scheme vs EU residence ?

I heard that permanent residence is very expensive and in both situation(Settlement or permanent residence) you will need to wait one more additional year to apply British citizenship. So it is no sense to generate extra cost, however you are Polish-EEA citizen, you can simply apply to settlement a...

Re: EU Settlement Scheme vs EU residence ?

I'm aware that the UK Settlement scheme will replace in future the Permanent residence current scheme. my question is, what path should I choose in my case? I live in the UK for 5 years married to British wife. as far as I'm aware, once I have the permanent residence I can immediately apply for cit...

Re: Working in the UK on an EEA family visa

I am an American and my wife is a German citizen, and we both live in Germany. We would like to move to the UK, specifically Scotland. I just received a job offer in Scotland, which would start at the end of October or early November, depending on what time frame works best for us to move there. I ...

Re: Can I work with just a stamp on my passport which says

When you call HO EEA section, they say "With first EEA visa/stamp, you cannot take up job legally. Only one exception is if on your EEA visa "work permitted" stated then you can work" And they also said that your employer needs to make HO check for you and they will reply that you cannot take up job...

If she has any relative/Friend in Poland, she can write a letter in Polish, sign, scan it and send over the person who can get it on her behalf

Re: Newly married to eea but on tier 2 general

one last question. When applying for the EEA RC can we use her ID card if it is with the old name? As she lives in UK its hard to get a replacement as it would seem she needs to travel to poland to get a new one. It should not be a problem if you have international marriage certificate because on t...

Re: Newly married to eea but on tier 2 general

So if I go through the eu queue will it matter that the certificate is in Polish? You can get international marriage certificate, it is valid in any EU country and no need to translate. There is government portal, your partner can log in and order it online and pay online as well. Cost about 20-30PLN

Re: EEA family permit and work permission

Technically you do not have right to work in first 6 months of EEA visa, if your employer will want to verfy it with home office, the answer will be you cannot... But if you convince your employer, they will be waiting a bit more for this verification until you apply to residence card etc. But, whe...

Re: Travelling to Germany with EU-Settlement Scheme Residence Card only (with out Schengen Visa)

I was expected that with the sentence EU SCHEME PRE-SETTLEMENT on the card would count as Family Member of an EU Citizen. Nope. See this post . I guess we need to apply for a Schengen Visa. Or apply to the good old EEA Residence Card (valid until Dec 2020, might be preferable to several Schengen vi...
