On Now: BBC Parliament on Sky- Citizenship & Immigration

Peers are debating the border, citizenship and immigration bill at committee stage.

Regarding the above question, i also joined HSMP in January 2008 due to be extended in 2010 january. So assuming that I switch to tier 1 now to get the initial 3 years visa, will the 1 year already spent in HSMP before moving to tier 1 be put into consideration towards residency?

the British HC works in very funny, just because they mentioned the startdate of the courses does not mean they do not have other reason to refuse your visa, but that is a valid enough reason to refuse, See if you reapply again dont be surprised if they raise other issues again. make sure all your p...

Credit Crisis effect on Tier1/HSMP extension rule?

I think its only fair that the rule should be review for anyone extending their visa by the end of this year etc, due to the credit crunch and I also think the whole tier1/hsmp process should be put on hold temporarily because let face it, there are no jobs out there and people are infact losing the...

There are alot of factors to be taken in to account? Is she your dependant because unless she is she will not qualify for a visa. As a visitor 6 months is the max. There are no provisions for family members to come for 'childcare'. Okay thanks for that. I guess the maximum she can stay at any one t...

Tie1 Dependant visa Same Price as Main Tier1 Applicant £600

Just checked on Ukvisas website and discovered that Tier1 dependant pay same price as main applicant. It does not use to be like that because dependant normally pays a lesser fee. This I believe is unfair because, even in-country applicant does not need to pay extra if all dependant apply at the sam...

Yes you can work part, to make your earnings exceed the 20,000 threshold for your earning income band.

Also am currently on seg (currently igs) too and there is no limit to the numbers of hours you can work. if you want you can do 1000hours per week.

cheers
