I dont think so because a lot of people have done applying by PEO for main applicant and by post for dependants which would mean there is a time difference in their applications and dependants visas not considered void.

Comments on the FAQ

I know sushdmehta said no comments in this post but would like to point out that Q4 is not entirely correct for overseas applications. If date of entry is delayed by less than 90 days, one can apply 28 days before expiry date instead of anniversary of entry date.

What is the date on your BRP card?

Did you calculate your eligibility date 28 days from entry date or expiry date?

Where can I find this rule in the BIA website? I am in a similar situation with work permit start date of 13 April 2008 and entry date 4 May 2008. I booked an appointment for 7 April but it looks like I would have been eligible from 16 March if this is the case. I will reschedule to an earlier date ...

Gagan1986, why do you say it should be SET(O) and not SET(M)? If husband already has ILR then spouse should be applying based on being married to a settled person? I would like to clarify as I'm planning to do the same given the difficulty of getting a PEO appointment for me, husband and child. I in...

Looks like even with 2 dependents, it is still impossible to get an appointment. Would there be a problem if I book 3 individual appointments on the same day? A Aside from higher fees being each one would be the main applicant, is there a risk that my husband or child born outside the UK declined? W...

Thanks vinny. My concern is the lack of right of appeal for the child if due to unforeseen circumstances, our ILR application was declined. I initially did not mind paying the fee for peace of mind but the difficulty of booking a PEO appointment with 3 dependents has made me consider not including m...

Excluding child born in UK but with Leave to Remain

Hi I just wanted to ask senior members' thoughts about whether it is a big risk to exclude my dependent who was born in UK but I have previously applied an Leave to Remain for as we travelled to home country previously. Would it be better to include in our ILR application in April to have peace of m...

Re: Promotion adversely affecting ILR?

Thanks for the response BR. I think I might be alright actually because the way the duties were described initially were broad so it still covers my current position. Also, my increases were just part of normal annual increase and pay awards that were given to all staff. I'll make sure the wording o...

Promotion adversely affecting ILR?

Hi, I'm eligible to apply for ILR on April 2013. I started as an Analyst 4 years ago. I had been promoted 2 years ago and expects to be promoted again this year to become a Manager. My current salary is already 40% more than when I started and expects it to go up to 80% more by the end of the year. ...

Dependent visa of Work Permit holder for new baby

How long does the Home Office take to issue a dependent visa for a new baby born in the UK. I'm a Work Permit holder. We're going on holiday in our home country in 6 weeks and not sure if the visa will be issued on time. My other option is to apply at UK VFS in my home country but since will only be...

I think they only start checking if you claimed for public funds when you're applying for ILR/British citizenship.

I remember seeing a post here somewhere that her ILR application was still approved when she provided proof that she paid back public funds she incorrectly claimed.

I've already bought a house. But instead of going through Homebuy, the builder (eg Bovis, Barratt, George Wimpey) provides an incentive for first time buyers where they take care of the 25% of the price hence, I did not need to put up a deposit. It is a loan for 10 years with no interest in the firs...
