I have a family member in the UK who has moved here from Spain, he is an EU national. He married in Pakistan to someone of a Pakistani nationality.

What documents are needed for him to call his Mrs to the UK? Is it the same as a UK national because of brexit?

Keep in mind that the requirements for EU Settlement Scheme apply to EEA citizens only, not everybody resident in the EU.

Presumably your mum lives in the UK.

She cannot sponsor family under the EU rules. She is not considered an EU citizen exercising treaty rights if she lives in the country of which she is a citizen.
