Some people received it within 6 months and some wait for 3-5 years, sometimes from the same family. Did you request ...

Re: no garda passport stamp?

I think you still need to have stamp for first time registration(or new passport) but not for renewals. Garda officer maybe was confused. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Online-Registration-Permission-Renewal-update-to-procedure-English.pdf/Files/Online-Registration-Permission-Renewal-update-to-proce...

Re: Next Ceremony

The Minister for Justice made it clear yesterday: "It is intended that the regulations will be finalised early in 2021" No chance this year  Yeah :( Early in 2021 can be in February or March. Most likely January and maybe February will be another L5 restrictions after Christmas travels.

Re: IRP Renewal - additional documents requested

I still have mine. I guess if you gave it to the Gardai, you should be able to request for a copy of the letter from either DBEI or INIS? Yeah, it might be the plan. I was outside Dublin station, maybe it is in my files there. I hope to receive citizenship before renewal still have around 10 months...

Re: IRP Renewal - additional documents requested

When was your Green Card issued? Any such permit issued after the first quarter in 2013 would require a Stamp 4 Support Letter. That is interesting. I think I have given away my letter to Gardai, when was doing renewal. Not sure what are the actions will be in case of renewal next year. I guess req...

Re: Next Ceremony

They already referenced it in the Dail yesterday. And my friend in INIS said we should be getting them in the next 4 weeks hopefully sooner. They basically are just reverting to how they used to send out the certificates before there was these official ceremony so it’s nothing new just the old way ...

Re: Questions about post update of Irish citizenship application

It's the date from the first acknowledgment letter. Don't hold your breath though. In March this mess kicked in, and the processing time was extended for 12 months. Of course you can ring or write to them and ask for an update. Are you sure they count from the acknowledgment letter? In my second le...

So even after you submit application you still shouldn’t do more than 6 weeks in a year?
Yes, it is.
I think it was not the case a year ago, when I submitted application. There was no such requirement but now there is one.

Re: One year continues residence before citizenship application ?

As Vorona said it should be fine if it is less than 6 weeks. If you stayed more due to Covid19 and have proofs you can still apply. I think I have seen updates that you can send passports but couldn't find it any more. Maybe it was removed due to new circumstances. Even if you have send passport you...

There is requirement to notify ISD for more than 6 weeks spent outside Ireland after submitted application: "If you are outside the State for longer than 6 weeks after you submit your application, you must notify ISD by letter or email to explain why." https://www.irishimmigration.ie/citizenship/bec...

I don't think it was shared in this thread update from INIS for processing times Notice 1 | Processing times of applications 07 September 2020 Due to a sharp increase in the number of applications for on-line registration, the current expected processing time is 25 to 30 working days from the date o...
