Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

No I dont think so. I advised the other member to avoid it as a precautionary measure but you can go ahead. I think you will be okay. I do not have a first hand experience if that will cause any confusion or not. I just advise to use a different email to run dummy applications occasionally to be on...

Re: Reuse same email address for dummy and real application

Sorry I happened to see the other thread where you mentioned don’t use the same email address for dummy and real applications - may I ask why? Many thanks. Did you save your dummy application and verified the email address? or just ran the dummy application without verifying the email address? Hi, ...

Re: Naturalisation application

I run a dummy application to see the questions in application form. Can I delete the dummy application or the only option I have is to edit the answers? You can run as many dummy applications you like. However, if you have registered the email address and saved the application (if you saved and ret...

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

1) Dates are “if known” question. You may provide estimates and clarify in the cover letter OR leave it empty. 2) Date of application is the date you pay and submit online. Biometrics date is irrelevant. Get referees sign anytime closer to date of application (ideally not more than 1 month old) OR ...

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

My wife is British and I applied via Section 6(1). Primarily because my religious marriage is not considered legal as per UK law (I have always declared myself as married in all my UK immigration applications or AN though and clarified as “religious marriage” in notes). I could not have gone throug...

Re: Which Route to use - British spouse or ILR?

If you qualify on both Sections 6(1) and 6(2) of the BNA 1981, your choice. In my opinion, majority Section 6(2) applications are processed quicker (personal observation). You will need to submit marriage certificate and spouse British passport copy for this. Note: When you fill the online form and...

Hi Can I please have some advice/experience on which route is easier in terms of preparing documentations and process time. I’m non-EEA, quality both applying through having British Spouse and having ILR (I.e having ILR for more than 12 months). The application website says you can choose either way...

The requirements relate to the days out of the country up to the application date, not after the date.
Travel out of the country does not impact the decision because naturalisation isn't an immigration application.
Thank you very much for your explanation!

You are free to travel.
Thank you for your fast response!

I was wondering if HO would want to take into account of those days I spend abroad after the submission of the application as absence.. I guess my question is will going abroad affect the application which is still in progress? Thank you.

Hi it’s probably not much of help as I got the same confusion, but intuitively I think it means your previous visa dependent, such as Tier 2 dependent?

Re: Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Give your best estimate from what you can remember - this is something that will not adversely impact you application. It's quite common that many can't remember everything, especially if paperwork is patchy or lost. Hi, thank you so much for your reply. Don’t know if you also know about the ‘appli...

Re: Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Hi

Sorry I have another question related the immigration application history - if I don’t remember/can’t trace my exact application date can I only put month & year? Or if I thought I remembered the date correctly but turns out to put the inaccurate date, will it affect the application?

Or ‘immigration’ means something more generic here. Thank you! It is not "generic". The question asks for ALL immigration appli...

Quick Questions about Referees

Hi All I have had a look at the ‘frequently asked questions ‘ on this board but wasn’t sure I have found my answer. I wanted to ask a couple of quick questions about referees. Firstly, re professional referee - can this referee be NOT professionally related to me, e.g. a GP friend but not my GP? Sec...
