Re: Citizenship Cert with no passport

UK Home Office does not recognize the cert as an Irish. They insist Irish passport. So cannot work in the UK and still require a visa. I am trying to find info to say applying for an Irish passport is a choice but the cert confirmed Irish. Cannot find anything on this. Hey. There is some info avail...

Hey, Check your work contract first. Check it for allowed working hours rules and employment notification for any additional work outside of working hours. This can violate it also if you additional work will be permanently outside of maximum government allowed weekly hours. There was unlucky luas d...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

Hey, I requested the application status at mid of July 2021 by email and received similar response at mid of December 2021. I don't even wait for it, my feelings was that this email was ignored or lost. It was really surprise that they answer my email after so many months, even it was ok to read the...

Hey, She will be eligible for SIN patch only in 2024. The clock is starting when you become Irish, not when you married. So you can wait for another 2-3 years or use normal approach. Your statement is incorrect .. being married 3 years before application is required Really? The official's links men...

Re: Can my brother come though me(Irish Citizenship) to Ireland for work/stay?

Hey, There is another option. I don't know if it fit your personal situation. You can establish business as an Irish Citizen and support your brother with a work permit. This is very costly and crazy if the target is only to bring Him to Ireland. But this should be good if there will be a real famil...

Hey, I had a very similar refusal letter for the invited person who didn't travels for the last 8 years and first time request the Ireland visit/tourist visa to the new empty passport. This can be read bit differently. It maybe sounded like the traveler profile is not looking like the frequent trave...

Re: Citizenship application and Out of the State

Hey, The root base for the 6 weeks rule is the sentence of "continues residence in the last year". The root base for the extensions of the 6 weeks rule to the applied cases is the sentence of "intention to be permanent resident in the state". In both cases this is ISD interpretation of the law, some...

Re: Do embassies process visas or forward them to Dublin office?

Hey,
I did the D, single entry visa application in the Ireland embassy in Athens some years ago. It was mandatory to apply the original of employment permit at application time. This was the key document to grant entry permission.
The processing time was 3 days, and staff was very friendly.

Hey,

The other way around to get Schengen visas is to visit your passport country for holidays. The Embassy in the country of nationality are normally taking to account your EU residence and granting long term multi visas more likely, than their colleagues in Ireland.

Hi,
They should register you child anyway. I don't remind any stories when anyone was rejected to register on this formal stage, so don't worry too much. Just book the appointment and come in person, as they should take the photo for first IRP.
