Re: citizenship application 2018 what mean this latter ...this is final stage ??

Nope. Letters to keep a lookout for: 1. Acknowledgement letter. 2. Approval letter. 3. Invitation letter Anything else in between is just being processed. Some don’t get a second stage letter and get an approval. Even if its in the second stage or advanced stage, it is still being processed. Differe...

I guess it depends on where you are based? I am in Kildare and rang the Garda Station and they gave me an appointment for 2 weeks later. Good luck!
Indeed.

I got an appointment for the end of Jan 2021 after contacting my local office last month.

Re: INCORRECT STAMP ON MY IRP CARD

Yes, you’d need to contact them about this like the above poster said. I had a stamp 1 given when it should’ve been a stamp 4. Brought it up at my local Garda immigration bureau and the officer re-issued a stamp 4 for 1 year. Didn’t enquire about anything for 2 years. Just accepted it as the norm an...

Re: Application prepared to submit to the minister

Hello there,

Received an email stating the same.

It means they’re getting everything together and will submit it to the Minister for approval.

They’re back from their summer recess and can thus get things moving. Sounds like a ceremony soon enough.

Cheers xx

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

The Dáil is resuming this evening. We should hear more about citizenship soon enough. :) Apologies - it was meant to resume this evening but is adjourned until further notice. Cabinet need to isolate for a week or so. Pretty sure we’d hear about the report of the e-ceremonies. As the department has...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

Completely agree. There were some 64 people working in the citizenship department going through thousands of applications. Let’s not forget annual leave, sick leave, and two who take calls every Tues & Thurs. Honestly not easy for them. In a wee bit of a conundrum here: I had to travel as a grandpar...

Last post from kalyna and Captainf makes me hopeful suggest that they will announce smth within months. I have noticed there is Citizenship fee on online portal with ability to upload passport photo and specify certificate from ceremony. https://i.ibb.co/5W531Dh/Ceremony1.jpg That’s fantastic news!...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

The pilot virtual Citizenship Ceremony that took place on 10 July 2020, involved 21 applicants. A review of the pilot is underway and consideration of that review is now in its final stages. A critical consideration is the protection of the welfare and safety of the participants and the general pub...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

Completely double that. The wait can be frustrating and disproportional but I don’t understand why people assume that citizenship is a right vs a privilege. It all stems from the egoistic sense of entitlement that serves no one and is toxic. Completely agree re the spread of false info and fake news...

The truth is this is blatant racis.m. It’s easy to come up with a random number and slander a whole nation without backing up your argument. You are providing subjective and incorrect information, and you are fabricating arguments as if they were provided by immigration officers. +1. Could the mod ...

Would be so much better (in terms of coping with uncertainty) if they posted citizenship certificate in the same way they do for children applications.Maybe for limited period until we are back to normal life. Hello,

Just looking at the annual leave alone, you don’t have enough reckonable residence as you’ve been out of the State for more than 42 days (6 weeks x 7 days) a year (esp years 3 & 4) bar the last.

His wife? If you look at the letter, it is addressed to a ‘Miss X’.. ‘Dear Miss X’ not ‘Mrs X’. They probably do not consider her to be legally married to him/ recognise the marriage. Question is why?! Does he have other wives (apologies for asking- purely non-judgemental) or was he married before? ...
