Can we send notarised copies of the FBR certs?
My mistake. For the passport you can send a notarized color copy of the FBR ceftificate.

Per DFA.ie website:

Original FBR Certificate or a certified colour copy (certified by a solicitor or notary public)

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

P.S. - I looked on the DFA.ie website and it does not mention putting application number on the photographs either.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

A friend of mine had their photos rejected because they didn't write the application number on the back of the two witnessed photos. I don't see this on the application instructions or checklist. Has anyone heard of this? I don't think I did this when I sent my documents in last month. I don't reca...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Does anyone from the US know how exactly to notarize or sign & witness the back of the 2 photos? I'm using the 2x2 US passport photo dimensions from Walgreens. Should I have the notary sign the back instead of stamping it? And do I just have them write in a small font? There isn't exactly a lot of ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Thank for you the timely responses, gentleman. Both are much appreciated. Aside from those two discrepancies, I feel my path to citizenship is rather straightforward. Do you think the DFA will ask for clarification and if so, what would you do, if you were in my position? I would wait and see perso...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Are they less strict with the FBR photos than with passport photos? Because they don't really give any specifications or requirements of the photos, which I know are pretty strict for passports. They just say 'passport-sized', which I take to mean the standard EU 35mm x 45mm. Also, unfortunately in...
