Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Where I do not fully agree with home office racially profiling certain nationalities, I also admit that the argument does carry some weight seeing that the majority of the outstanding applications here are from Pakistani nationals. My entire family that was naturalised were Pakistani nationals and H...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I'm not sure if I can even call this a test match. It's slightly longer than that lol. I've contacted my me a couple of weeks ago. She came back to me yesterday to say that I forgot to mention my date of birth and current nationality (silly me). Now that I have provided her with that info, I'm hopin...

Re: February 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Hi guys, I was received email reply from MP but unfortunately he is unable to Give me good news and he said the home office put to mandatory check and up till the check will carried out not taking decision that is why you need to wait even more than 6 month. Now is my 9th month finishing soon but s...

Re: Complicated question

You are misunderstanding my question. When did she get ILR? Did she do the Life in the UK test for ILR? This is a fundamental requirement for ILR, except for some exceptional circumstances I think. If she did LIUK test for ILR, she DOES NOT have to do the test again for citizenship. Does she meet t...

Re: Need Help

I'm not sure why people are saying that you should wait for the acknowledgment letter. Your naturalisation application is completely different to your indefinite visa or any other visa you hold. Since (I'm guessing) you already have ILR and not submitting your original documents by using NCS, you ca...

Re: April 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

He's bullshitting you tbh. The staff at contact centre do not know what's actually happening with the application. The only information they have available is whether a letter sent out to you or not. They don't even know what's in the letter too. Best to write to them & your MP and if you want to ca...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I won't hold my breath on it tbh. Them telling you that you still have 10 days left just means that. After you've gone past 6 months deadline they'll just tell you to write to naturalisation team and that's it. They won't book a call back or give you a new timescale. Also, the way it's going nowdays...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I have the same feeling that they just randomly tell you whatever comes in their mind first. Mostly they try to use the logic that if you're calling then it means you haven't received your approval yet so it's safe to just tell you that it's under progress. I have tried asking them when they receive...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I think for our last bunch of applications we will have to send a letter to our MP and get this progressed as i have seen few cases where after 6 months there was no response and once the email from MP was send the application was processed in couple of weeks time i am hoping we dont have to go dow...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Spoke to them yesterday after I crossed the 5 months period. Still the same 6 months crap. I asked them why is it taking this long and they didn't have any idea nor that they know if it's with a caseworker or not. They confirmed that it's not a first come first serve basis so I'm guessing they just ...

really annoyed as i got told a few days ago that its with a caseworker and i havent heard anything since :,( Unless a caseworker himself told you it was with them then I'd trust them, otherwise the customer services don't know anything about the application. They only know when you applied and if/w...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Saying that it's pissing me off would be an understatement. Just heard from a friend who applied mid July and got his approval and even have applied for his passport a couple of weeks ago. This is pure nonsense! I swear if it gets past 6 months timeline then the person picking my phone up would have...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

One thing is for sure, I won't call them till my 6 months wait is over and if I still don't hear from them then I'll sure let them know their worth. It'd be an interesting conversation and will largely be one sided.

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

omerGB, indimarshal , [iD] are you guys still waiting ? I think the time we applied is very close the the time when they sent the team to Passport office to clear the backlogs, so probably they assigned our case to someone who is still in the passport office or went on holiday and they are not both...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I applied on the 2nd April, still I've never heard anything! Just it can take up to 6 months and very rarely goes over 6 months. I guess it will come when it comes, there's no point being concerned as they have never written asking for anymore details, so inshallah it will come when ready. We will ...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

82 days here too. Not entirely sure what's happening tbh. When I call, sometimes they tell us that it's with caseworker and sometimes they just say it's not with a caseworker, and that's when some senior caseworker or someone call you back. Sleep on it, it's the best advise I can give to everyone in...

Re: US Parents with ILR. Child born after in UK.

From what I know, she doesn't need to apply for citizenship as she already is British since she was born after you received your ILR.
You can apply for her passport straight away.
