Also, have you considered the EU settlement scheme instead of a spouse visa? Don't know that much about it myself but might be an easier and cheaper application process.
Never mind, forgot you had applied already

Re: Unmarried Partner Visa - Financial requirement calculation

Are you an immigration lawyer Seagul? Because if you are, then I have been given conflicting advice from an immigration lawyer. If you are not, are you contesting the advice given by an immigration lawyer? To be fair, many have found the advice from immigration lawyers/advisers to somewhat or very ...

Re: Contract job - spouse visa

is there any minimum income requirement to sponsor my wife to uk from India . Yes. Provided it is just your wife and no children, you will need to prove a minimum income of £18,600 or have cash savings of at least $62,500 (held for a minimum of 6 months prior to applying) in order to meet the finan...

Re: Spouse visa extension update

For FLR(M), that is the only acknowledgement you will get unfortunately. If that on it's own is not acceptable to their employer, they can also use the government checking service linked below to confirm that an application has been submitted:

Re: Unmarried Partner Visa - Financial requirement calculation

Same repeated answer that if you hadnt got job offer which was started within 3 months then your overseas income cannot be considered. For qualifying under category A or B your 6 months or 12 months of income respectively must have been earned from UK employer. Just trying to understand what we're m...

Re: Spouse Visa Financial Requirement

Also as of last I checked you cannot change visa type from within the UK. She would have to leave and apply for entry as family/spouse, FWIW. Definitely disagree with that. I switched from a Tier 5 visa to a spouse visa with no issues. Filled out an FLR(M) application and was good to go. Just need ...

Re: unmarried partner - 2 years period calculation

Can you please clarify your partner's visa status in Thailand a bit? If he's repeatedly visiting Thailand as a tourist, it's questionable whether the Home Office would consider that "living together". The time spent together in the UK isn't a problem necessarily as you could be considered as being o...

I'm relying on cash saving route i didn't mention anywhere in application form that my sponser is a employee but only here in the last this question coming Fair enough. Since it doesn't matter anyway, I'd just answer no and move on. If you answer yes then they'll be looking for supporting evidence ...

Re: Unmarried Partner Visa - Financial requirement calculation

There is no confusion in the guidance which is very straight along with examples over this matter. I agree with that. As somewhat of a potential corollary scenario just for fun: the OP will have obtained greater than the required £18,600 of income earned in the UK before reaching 6 months with the ...

Re: Unmarried Partner Visa - Financial requirement calculation

Nothing official in the UK is based on common sense, it is only ever based on rules and poorly written guidance documents. When the rules and guidance document present options for meeting the financial requirements based on whether the applicant's partner is either: (A) currently employed in the UK ...

Re: Unmarried Partner Visa - Financial requirement calculation

Yes! This is what I mean! There are two different sections under category B, the one that Seagul mentions about returning with the partner to the UK and the one that states that the sponsor is residing in the UK, which I am. In that respect, my overseas income and my UK income together should satis...

Re: Unmarried Partner Visa - Financial requirement calculation

Right, but that's not really the situation. The applicant's partner is not returning with the applicant to the UK to work, the applicant's partner is already employed in the UK so section 5.3 should apply (section 5.3.9 specifically mentions the use of overseas income to satisfy the second part of C...

Hi, So I see what you are saying, but my partner is not returning with me to the UK. I am already in the UK and he is applying from within the US. I do not see anywhere, where it says overseas income is not taken into account. I do see where it says that if the two of us were coming together and I ...

From a bit more research it appears they may not use that wording any more so you may well be fine - but I'd still be cautious. :) The eligibility requirements for entry clearance as the partner of a British citizen require the applicant's partner to be a British citizen in the UK or who is coming ...

Re: Understanding Visa Expiry Date

It's a standard template email they send to pretty much everyone. 1- does this mean a decision may come soon? I believe my application is “straightforward“. Maybe but unlikely. They send it to pretty much everyone, it's more an acknowledgement of receiving your application than anything else. Nothin...

Re: Road traffic offence and spouse visa application

You are not applying for citizenship so as seagul mentioned above, there's nothing like good requirement when apply for FLR. The Home Office has a fair bit of discretion to refuse visas if they really wanted to. The section of the Immigration Rules quoted below is fairly similar to a good character...
