Re: FLR (M) Documents Question

I just did the same thing you are trying to do (Tier 5 YMS to FLR(M)). I included the items of correspondence since I had them available and had no issues getting the visa. Understand they may not be necessary but might help make things easier if the officer assessing the application is just going t...

Re: FLR-FP switching to FLRM(Documents inside uk)

Lastly some one said to me on forum or i think i was reading thread that. when any apply first time FLRM then you don't need 12/6 documents etc requirement. I would agree, but in that case the OP was in the UK on a PBS visa rather than one dependent on a partner and Appendix FM states that for FLR ...

Re: FLR-FP switching to FLRM(Documents inside uk)

2. Depends. If the FLR(FP) visa was granted on the basis of being your partner, you will have to provide evidence of cohabitation since the last visa was granted (E-LTRP.1.10. in Appendix FM). This requires correspondence sent to you jointly (6 pieces) or individually (12 pieces total - 6 sent to ea...

Re: Quick question: applying for a fiance visa while holding a tourist visa

Thanks. So it's possible to hold a tourist visa while the fiance visa is being processed? Or is this moot due to the passport being required? How long is that for usually? You usually have to submit the passport with the application so would be unable to travel. There is typically a service you can...

Hi everyone, I’m in quite a dilemma here.. I’m looking to bring my pregnant partner to the UK but am unsure what our options are. I’m a British national who was until July 18 living and working in the US (5+ years), I returned back home to be able to provide assistance to my parents (father has alz...

Re: Taking photos rather than using a scanner for documents

Hello, For spouse visa we have to scan supporting documents and upload them. Has anyone been successful in taking photos of documents and uploading them rather than using a scanner? Many thanks. There are also several scanning apps available for mobile phones, which may or may not be useful; if not...

Re: Will My Application Be Successful?

My wife has not sent the spouse visa application yet, would it be OK for her to come to the UK on a Visitor visa and stay in the UK for a few weeks or will that cause problems when she applies for the spouse visa? Being in the UK for a few weeks on a visitor visa wouldn't affect spouse visa applica...

Re: Spouse Visa - Income requirement

I understand that my partner would apply once we got married and just link his application to mine. Do you know if it's common for them to recontact me and ask me to submit additional evidence? I also spoke to a solicitor earlier today who adviced to apply for pre-settled status before April as tha...

Re: Spouse visa extension, cohab docs when not living together because of work?

So we do have evidence of cohabitation, however there is also evidence that we are split between two cities, or rather that she spends some time in another city and that is specifically for work. Should i mention this on the application to provide transparency, or should i just submit the evidence ...

Depending on your personal circumstances and eligibility, you may also want to consider including your partner under the EU Settlement Scheme, which appears to accept both spouses and unmarried partners of EU citizens.

Re: unmarried partner - 2 years period calculation

Another thought to consider: where does the UK government currently think your partner lives? If it's in Thailand then you might be ok. Unfortunately what the Home Office considers "living together" is not well defined in the rules or guidance for unmarried partners nor is it clear what supporting e...

Hi geoeng, We're not alternating visiting each others in the sense that we're being apart. We are physically together all the time and he has his name on some of the utility bills at the condo in Thailand. We establish that we live together in Thailand, but travel together for holiday in the UK. My...

Re: Extension of spouse visa after 30months

Yes, it's reasonably straight forward if you meet the requirements and have the required supporting evidence; certainly easy enough to do yourself in most circumstances. You will need to provide proof of meeting the financial requirement £18,600/year income or £62,500 of cash savings (held at least ...

Also, have you considered the EU settlement scheme instead of a spouse visa? Don't know that much about it myself but might be an easier and cheaper application process.
Never mind, forgot you had applied already

For FLR(M), that is the only acknowledgement you will get unfortunately. If that on it's own is not acceptable to their employer, they can also use the government checking service linked below to confirm that an application has been submitted:
