Yes you can. You can combine the two sources of income, but only the amounts that fall within the period covered by the financial year for your self-employment.

Re: Spouse Visa: Combining sources of income

I am aware that only income inside the financial year would be counted but my question is does it matter what date I apply as long as I apply between April 2020 and April 2021? If say I apply in July, would all the 12 months payslips inside the relevant financial year still be counted? My understan...

In other words, when it comes to employment and the calculation of my wife's income, do UKVI calculate the income of the 12 months that are inside the financial year no matter when I apply? Yes, only the income received during the period covered by the last full financial year (or average of the la...

1. Do you need an index at the beginning outlining all your supporting documentation? 2. As part of our evidence we have engagement cards, do these need photocopied onto A4 paper? 3. In the automated document checklist you get after submitting online application you there are three boxes at the end...

Re: Applying for Spouse Visa - query about finances

There is nowhere to declare on the application that sums of money are deposited but are not mine (they are taxed and legitimate earnings). Will this be an issue on the application? Any insight would be appreciated The bank statements are only to show that the income you are relying on is being depo...

Re: Employer's letter and document submission

Ok I have all my bank statements from September 01 2019 to February 29 2020. I went in-branch and had them print them off for me and then stamp only the front page of each monthly statement. Is this ok as not every page is stamped, only the front ones? Can always go back and have them stamp each in...

Re: Heartless government to increase IHS from £400 to £625 as part of hostile policy

Hostile it may be but I can't imagine such a policy would ever arouse much sympathy outside of an immigration forum and since most immigrants are unable to vote in general elections while going through the visa process, continued increases seem likely. While many migrants may not use the service, it...

Re: Heartless government to increase IHS from £400 to £625 as part of hostile policy

I assume coronavirus is currently an ideal excuse of the increase in fees. Hardly, this was a campaign promise the government is delivering on. It was going to happen regardless of the current situation. It's an easy way to make it seem like they are protecting the NHS that doesn't lead to much act...

Further to my questions. a. Should hourly wages be calculated annually assuming a 45 hour minimum contract? In what way should this be written in a letter from the employer? Hourly or annual? b. Re: Documents on TLS for Spouse visa uk

Is this coronavirus outbreak going to affect spouse visa applications to the UK? I'm guessing there are already cases in UK so it won't matter with someone from Kenya arriving to UK right? Not at the moment, but it's the type of thing that changes day-to-day without much notice. The sudden USA ban ...

Re: FLR (M) Online application 2020- 28 days

Just because there is no clear GUIDANCE on this issue :/ The guidance is the section of the immigration rules that Korekt quoted, which is the same as what is stated on the gov.uk website for family visas (https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa). While there may be cases where remaining leave was mistak...

Other options I've been told are to apply for a spouse visa using the 10 year route, however I'm not sure how we should go about it. You cannot just choose to apply on the 10 year route simply because the financial requirement is not met. This route is only available if there are exceptional circum...

QUESTION: If I buy a franchise in the UK, does this cover the job offer and the work must commence within three months of returning to the UK? A rather unique question, so I'm not sure how definite of an answer can be provided. Income from self-employment in a franchise is considered differently to...

Ahh, so if she's off for say 2 weeks, 4 weeks. Whatever, then that difference will be covered by going back 2 weeks or 4 weeks whatever is applicable? On her payslip it shows the payments being deducted and so on. Yes, see section 5.5.21 on page 34 of the guidance document linked below for details ...
