Re: Legalising New Zealand birth certificate for France BANNS

I don’t have French specific knowledge but I e been legalizing a lot of papers within/outside EU. Only the country that issued the paper can legalize the paper for you. NZ is a part of The Hague Convention which established apostile rules, so you’ll need to find a way to get the apostile from NZ IF ...

Re: Confused

There are a couple of things to consider re long term multi entry Schengen visas: 1. You need to build up your Schengen visa history. First timers normally get visas for the duration of the trip or - best case - 6 months visas. You can then get 1 year/multiple years. 2. It really helps to apply to o...

Re: TLS Keep my passport

Bring the passport to TLS if that is possible How can I do that? I know how to ship - but do I need to include prepaid label for the return? (Honestly, I am not sure from which country they would be returning the passport) In TLS center, they explained that they will send a DHL label and not to use...

He can come to the UK without job as this is not required for dependent visa. If he works for a multinational, he will most likely be explained that the main problem in the way he plans to structure his work can be taxation. He will have the right to work in the UK, so he will not be breaking immigr...

I suspect it’s not a very straightforward case. You would probably need to adopt/ establish other form of parental responsibility. Kids mother will need to give up her parental rights officially, not just say that she wouldn’t mind.

Re: ILR 10yrs as Dutch/South African dual national

I applied for a permanent residence card for EEA nationals in 2017… Having had PR for more than a year, could you not apply for British Citizenship? (not cheap, but less than an LR ILR application). Or do you not want to have 3 nationalities? Generally Dutch government does not allow to gain anothe...

One other thing worth considering, unlike COVID restrictions, situation in Belorussia might last longer. I hence it is possible that there will be no direct flights for years to come.

Is there a helpline to discuss things like this or do we need to involve lawyers? Helpline is outsourced to external ...

Though it now looks like the travel restrictions are going to be lifted, due to issues with the country in question (Belarus) all flights from the uk have now been halted. If you’re in the UK In your email you should attach evidence to show why you cannot leave the UK. For example, if you can’t lea...

Thanks, they are here on a 180 day per year 10 year visa. When you say it could affect future applications, could it affect the existing 10 year visa? Ie could it be revoked? (Travelling via Russia makes this trip a lot more difficult for an elderly person travelling on their own) I hear you re dif...

As a side note, make sure she has private insurance as she is not covered by NHS unless it is an emergency. Pregnancy can be rather unpredictable. Will health insuarnce while visiting the UK, cover NHS maternity care costs? I don't think that it'll cover regular appointments, but depending on the i...

It is unlikely that this kind of extension will be granted. Don't risk further visa applications as this can be taken against you later on. Which length of stay did you state in her/his visa application? There are 3 flights per week from London to Moscow and 10 flights to Minsk now (starting from 2n...

Re: Leave and re enter the UK

As a general rule, a visitor shall not be residing in the UK i.e. spend more time in the UK than in their own country. As a non-visa national, she can get away with this on her return to the UK, but equally she might be stopped and denied entry. Clock is not really "reset" that easy i.e. she shall n...

Exceptional assurance is to be used when returning to the country of origin is impossible due to COVID. It looks like there are plenty of flights (direct and indirect) still flying to Egypt.

You can apply to extend her visit though https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-vis ... -your-stay.
