Re: Over 3 years waiting!!

Naturalisation is a non-issue for the minister, the ruling party, the govt and the Irish people. Because the people who are waiting for their naturalisation for years dont really matter to the national polity. That is why, there is no avenue other than Judicial Review which would cost money and tim...

Re: Over 3 years waiting!!

I have had experience with the Irish immigration authorities in the the past and I can tell you that the whole process from start to finish WAS stress-free and relatively short (a few weeks at most). Also, there was NO need for a ceremony at all, and the cost was so small.. I can't even remember ho...

Re: Children naturalization application

I submitted fee and photographs in Nov and still awaiting. For the minors the delay in issuing the certificate is unimaginable and reveals the state of affairs in this department and efficiency of govt as a whole. True !! I have been asked to provide same thing for like 3 time NO IDEA if they are l...

I have applied for my child's citizenship application back in summer, but I can tell it could take a very long time until my son gets the certificate. Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

I also believe minor application shouldn’t be impacted with this decision as many law doesn’t apply to minor They used the same wording "continuous residency" for minors, so unfortunately it is probably going to be delayed as well. As to why the court of appeal wants to reserve the judgement, I hav...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Folks I can bet you all ! They do manipulating the data as it’s hard to believe an average of 6.7 months Those who wish to protest as per your rights get some NGO involve like immigrants council of Ireland or migrant right center as they have big following and more numbers more pressure !! Re: Children naturalization application

Sometime it’s hard to get my head around how they work ! Minor should be excluded with all this as many law doesn’t applies to minors ! Honestly, after touring to many countries , I found Ireland been in Europe and considered very developed but law doesn’t reflect at all ! Any way I hope they don’t ...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Well it’s a joke ! And I can fully understand and feel the pain of many who are waiting ! In my case my son could get the Irish passport directly but I was just a month short on my 3 yrs stamp which make him no eligible for passport and his mother was literally may be days short (as EU citizen) but ...

I have tried to call them yesterday to confirm if they have received the application but honestly it’s nearly impossible!

I have emailed them no response!
My only concern is the passport may be returned after months as I have travel plan !

Still waiting anyone who’ve applied form 9 ??

Re: Children naturalization application

I can imagine ! Technically they should simply give minor passport whose parents become citizen specially those who were born in the country!! It’s simply making life more difficult ! Honestly if they just ask us to pay 300 upfront and get passport I would do that!! When I told to some of my colleag...
