Re: No Second Letter Anymore? Citizenship app.

I'm gonna complete 1 year waiting in a couple of weeks and I haven't heard anything back from them apart getting my passport and my first letter back. I'm actually thinking of doing a FOI just to see what they achieved in 1 year.

Re: New scoreboard approach is foolish

What I find stupid is that I have sent official government letters related to immigration like my Stamp 4 support letter and my Employment permit as proofs of address and they are worth nothing in this new scoreboard but a fishing license is ok. It's problematic to limit the options like that becaus...

Re: Citizenship application form issue

At least for me this point system makes things more difficult. Lots of documents I used as proof of residency is not in this list (internet bills, letters related to my Stamp 1 and 4...). I don't have a car, credit card, gas supplier, medical insurance, never been to a doctor here... They still poin...

Re: Application for naturalisation - form 8 CTZ3 version 6.1 and 6.2

Oh, how odd....The current form does indeed seem to be version 6.1, and looking at the link, it looks like it was changed to that in October 2021. Is there any difference between the forms? Or just the guidance? I'd be tempted to submit completed form 6.1, but with a tax clearance certificate anywa...

Re: Passport Delays following confirmation of address

For me it took around 20 days from getting the email to confirm the address to actually get my passport back and that was earlier this year when things were a bit faster. You won't get a tracking number but the post man will ring your doorbell to make sure you are there to receive your passport.

Re: Current processing time updated to 23 months

That's really devastating to read but in fairness seems to be today's average time from seeing people's timelines here (I mean, even the passport returns are now taking 4 months). Before I think it was 6 months and I don't think many people got everything sorted in 6 months after the events of 2019....

Re: Does Six Week Rule apply after Application submitted?

It is 6 weeks per year. I don't think they have a legal definition of whether this 6 week period applies to calendar year or the fiscal year starting from the day you submit your application. As things stand, you should treat it as being the general requirement that you should not be away for more ...

Re: Citizenship - Proof of Adress

I'm just slightly surprised that with the PoA's I supplied already they are still looking for more. My understanding was that government letters (P60, tax credits, P21, LPT etc.) would be more valuable than that I have a cable TV... Before I applied I had a consultation with a solicitor and one of ...

When I renewed they asked to see a payslip and I also showed them a letter from my employer saying that I was working there.

Re: Form 8 Naturalisation form was updated in November

I think the problem is with the page numbers. The 3 irish references pages are now in different pages (29-30 instead of 30-31) so I don't think you can re-use them (It's dumb I know but I wouldn't take my chances). I'm gonna print up everything again in the new version and pray they don't change thi...

Just a warning since I was surprised by this today. The Form 8 - Application by a person of full age, including ‘young adult’ was updated to a new version in November. So if you were like me and had everything filled in the previous version (January 20) I think you gonna have to fill everything agai...

Documents Required for Stamp 4 Work renewal
