Experince with VFS

Hi All,

Starting this thread so that each one of us can explain our experinces with the VFS so that those who are planning to apply for EC will have no surprises. PLease explain your experince, documets submitted and an overall thought about VFS, in short.

The insurnce policy will not have surrender value on it. So you should get a seperate surrender value certificate from your insurance company.

This certificate will give you the value of your accumulation in the policy till date.

"accumulated gradually" I meant that there should not be any sudden deposits of huge amounts. If you want to show some amount as your balance, do not deposite the whole amount on a single day. Rather you can split the amount and deposit over a period of time. Yes you can show fixed deposits as funds...

They will check all the bank statements you give them. You will give them atleast one year's bank statements. the amount should have been accumulated gradually. You can show fixed deposits in other bank accounts as well. Just get a CA statement prepared including all the savings, fixed deposits, etc...

Just explain it in your cover letter and try to get a letter from your employer that this difference of amount was paid to you as reimbursements. This should solve the issue.

The very first instruction on VAF2 is to fill the application in balck or blue ink. So filling it with a pen should be fine.

As a matter of fact, if you have applied through workpermit.com, the address would be of workpermit.com not yours. I have got my approval letter with workpermit.com address. So need not worry. These days they are speeding things up. I have seen a lot of people got approved in a week or so. Though 10 working days is correct.
