Few VFS officials have no clue about the process.

They tend to treat all applications equally.

Explain to them why you are not carrying them and they should be OK.

speeding doesnt come under dangerous driving. Also conviction is different from fixed penalty. I am not sure how the US traffic rules apply. The BDHC numbers are not going to be withdrawn. The individual VFS numbers are going to be withdrawn and will have one centralised VFS number.

CAll the BDHC chennai, ((91-44) 42192151) you will get apt information. VFS folks do not have a clue of what is happening.
