Re: NARIC certificate not required if PBS recognises degree

Check the education under attributes. If you get at least 20 points in there, you are good to go. Please be aware that it is not enough for the degree to be in the list, it should actually give you at least 20 points for education attribute and 10 for English language requirement.

Re: Naturalisation - New rule, KoL & Life in UK Test

Please remember along with 10 points to English language requirement, the PBS calculator should also give you atleast 20 points for education. Only then the UKBA will accept the PBS print out to satisfy the requirement.

Re: NARIC certificate not required if PBS recognises degree

The PBS calculator should give you more than 20 points for your degree in education and 10 points in English language requirement. I think the 20 points is to show that the degree is comparable to UK degree and 10 points to say that the degree was taught in English.

Re: UKBA not accepting PBS proof for English language

You should be alright. Write a letter explaining that a PBS print is acceptable and that it has been mentioned in number of places in the UKBA website and also by the Home office staff in their emails.

Re: UKBA not accepting PBS proof for English language

The PBS print out you submitted did it give you at least 20 points for education attribute as well and if yes, did you provide that print out with the application?

Re: English Requirement for NATURALISATION

I was in the same confusion and this is the reply I got from the UKBA.. Dear Sir, We will accept a print out from the points calculator as evidence of English language for a naturalisation application, provided it shows that the degree was awarded at least 20 points for comparability to a UK degree,...

In my view, the period of not in employment matters only for work permit visa holders. For tier 1 visa, you just need to satisfy the points required your ILR earning eligibility. may be a stupid question, but I've read they ask payslips and P40/P60 for all 5 years. Why would this be required if onl...
