Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi Guys, I applied on 29 July 2020. Just submitted biometrics via IDV app a few minutes ago as mobile access granted. Interesting to see that UKVCAS was working on Sunday. Looks like the queue is moving towards the end of July. I applied for ILR SET O on 10 july after a 5 year tier 2 general. Haven...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

For those of you who are waiting to use IDV app since March/April/May - Have you guys clicked the submit button for documents on UKCVAS app? Just curious to find the reason. This is the question I'm thinking as well. My case is: SET(M), 19th May. So far, no invite, no access to IDV or booking appoi...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Logged in to the IDV app and completed the biometrics-related tasks just now (Fri, Aug 28 2020, 20:15 BST). Everything was functional. Took facial image, completed liveness check and uploaded supporting documents. All done within 10 minutes tops. Date of submission of online UKVI application (and r...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Thanks just the subject line and deadline for 10th Aug is different to previous IDV email. Looks like a new official update will come after 5pm 10Aug. The deadline for applicants March-June is 7.08 and for those from first week of July is 10.08. This makes me think that this is what they call phase...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

@ajitu92 Yes there is no certainty when the IDV app will be rolled out. But, I believe, the processing of the application AFTER the biometrics is sent (via UKVCAS appointment OR IDV app) will result in the same pace decisions. Obviously there is no evidence for now unless the IDV app is rolled out,...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Am I correct in assuming that those who receive the biometrics email are at a disadvantage now because they have to wait for many more weeks, and those who are sent an email to attend biometrics are at an advantage as they are able to book appointments via portal? I guess this will depend on the to...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I applied for ILR on July 1st Set(M) and I have received and email tonight at 10:40pm stating that I did not fall into the biometrics reuse even though my last renewal was in Jan 2018. I do have a 9 year old child so maybe that's why. The email stated that the system was now open for me to book an ...

@desiro This time its even more random. Its a confirmed news now that members are receiving emails who applied in July (who are chosen to attend biometrics) without even a NEW UKVCAS flash message!! I understand your frustration, I agree it is unfair, especially in the current situation when many a...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

The pattern I have observed for those lucky ones who are chosen to attend biometrics are usually from nationalities who are required to register with the police. I maybe wrong but I strongly believe, “nationality” is one of the major criteria UKVI is following. https://www.gov.uk/register-with-the-...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

We applied on 30/04/2020, they sent us re-use email this week and IDV email, we chose opting out, hopefully we get an appointment after 10th Aug. Regards I applied on 25.06, got re-use email on 23.07, also thinking of opting out- this phased approach suggests I might get an invitation for IDV app b...

Update! No appointment is available for next 5 weeks in London and Birmingham, reference: YouTube weblink removed by moderator Thanks for info. Can you please provide us the details why you can see the appointments? Did you opt out from bio reuse pool? What is your application and when did you apply?

Believe me it's not only limited to this forum, people are complaining over Twitter as well newsreporters etc. and noone holds no shame to respond to anyone from UKVCAS and UKVI end. We all understand that things are not "normal" so we don't expect quick turnarounds however a basic business today c...
