The key is 'genuine visitor' - if the IO thinks he is essentially living here on a visit then he will get bounced. Reminds me of a case that was shown on the Border Force programme. The IO booted this guy out for returning back to UK in the space of a week or so. Thanks Wanderer for posting the vid...

Existing LTR is deemed to be continous until the new application is decided. So he should be fine. No he is not fine. Otherwise OP wouldn't be posting here in the first place, HO has already rejected his ILR application. You are allowed to remain in country only if you have FLR application pending ...

You are right, East Europeans have surely edge over Indians in cleaning tables & toilets and putting bricks. But are no match to Indian people (on HSMP) whio are far more educated and experienced than east europens. Such facial prejudice and mentality doesn't bode well. All migrants including easte...

What's illegal in that ? Every consulting company signs a master agreement with a customer. This policy is to stop poaching. In fact it's mutual, the vendor cannot hire a customer's employee either. I know it's disappointing but there are cases where the client is so impressed with a resource that h...

The following information contradicts your reply...I might be wrong, Can you check if this applies to me ? http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/eligibility/naturalisation/standardrequirements/ No that doesn't apply to you. You have to have your ILR before you apply for naturalisation.

Why do you crib? There are quite a few posts in this forum where people have written their experience. If their thoughts sound negative to you so be it but this is fact and it's real. However number of clients they may have, you will still be interviewed for the job by the client unless "iEffect" have some drastic effect on their clientele... So you are no worse or no better than looking for a job on your own. It is an uphill struggle to get a job in UK without prior UK experienc...

It depends on how you see it and how you manage your move to a new country. Do you have prior UK experience. Then probably it becomes that much easier to land up with a job here in UK. In your current circumstances it looks US is a better option. Why? Why because you have the cushion of an Indian em...

Even this new VISA has been introduced for few years, there are still many companies who just do not understand the details of it. Saeed, it won't be far fetched to say, here in Britain, employers do like someone to be local with excellent spoken English particularly for client facing roles like sales/marketing/mgmt/hr. But that is not to say someone from south asia won't be given a chance. But you will be scrutinised more for ...

Market seems to be OK now if not at its best owing to the credit crunch.

Jobs are there to be taken, probably caused by people leaving their current jobs to look for better offers (higher paying) again likely because of the higher living costs at present.

Much like the mortgage chain......

Very less likely to get a response by sending your resume directly to the companies. Most of them engage agencies as they are expected to do the initial screening for them. Only some companies do recruitment on their own. Working in different domains need not be a weak point. My profile contained th...

Well, things have changed in UK. You would have been in great demand probably 5-6 years ago when there was a severe shortage of IT skilled personnel here.

Now there are lots of applications pouring through for a vacancy. Recruiters can afford to pick and choose. The market is very competetive.

Difficult to predict really. You stand a good chance because you have MS in your CV. IIM is not very well known in Britain. Do a search on the jobsites and post your CV. See what kind of response you get. But as such, Mgmt jobs are limited in IT sector in UK. They usually prefer local candidates wit...
