Don;t think PGDCA is equivalent to Masters Degree. Please check in PBS list. @tvn: yes he will get UK exp points. To gain points for UK experience, you need to have earned atleast £ 16,000 in the UK. Considering OP's UK gross salary a minimum of 6 month's UK payslips are required to claim those po...

3 years under spouse category But he (she) will not have 3 years in the spouse category in May 2011 then, rather 1 year in dependant status + 2 years in spouse (?) (and that does not take into account main applicant's naturalisation process time) Sorry if I didn't sound clear. Let me elaborate. It'...

Re: HSMP to Tier 1 - NO NI number

I am planning to switch from HSMP to Tier 1 Inspite of having valid HSMP visa, I never travelled to UK to work because I doing well in a contract overseas and due to job maket conditions prevailing in the UK delayed my entry. Now, I have enough previous earnings more than GBP 40k/annum to qualify f...

Based on the information you've provided you cannot apply for naturalisation at the same time as your husband. The earliest you can apply for citizenship is May 2011 as a spouse of a British citizen (you need to have completed 3 years by then though). As you already have ILR you will not come under ...

What date did you start on the second job? Didn't the second employer question your WP status? If you worked in the second company with your first WP then you were in breach of immigration rules. Even if you had applied for HSMP you were not allowed to work until it was approved and FLR stamped on y...

So why would govt risk another JR loss and apply it to those who are already on tier 1? If they do then why can't another JR be won based on the documentation like in previous case? I am not a legal expert but through the knowledge gained by browsing this forum I learn that you cannot initiate lega...

Hi wot about the people with long stay 10 years legally are they effected toooo. That's not clearly mentioned in the bill but when part 2 comes into effect it's highly likely that the 10 year and 14 year routes will be done away with. Someone had queried about what part 2 is. Part 2 of this bill de...

I don't suppose so. If HO does decide to verify your bank statements, the time it takes to do that depends on the promptness with which which your bank responds to the queries irrespective of the geographical location. For all you know the UK bank may sit on it longer than the US bank. Mention the b...

No!

Visitors are not allowed to apply for tier 1 within UK. You have to obtain an entry clearance from the nearest UK high commision / consulate in your country of residence.

The child needs to have a valid visa or British passport to enter UK. He/she doesn't get an automatic entry by virtue of being born in the UK. As to benefits, NHS has given him/her the wrong guidance. NHS staff may not be aware of the immigration rules and they are not expected to either. Well your ...

Yes there is one advantage if the baby is born here in UK i.e the child can be registered as a British citizen once the parents obtain ILR. If the baby is born outside this can't be done.

You can claim these benefits only after you've got your ILR.

Why did you have to sign and seal your payslips? Is it not in standard UK format?

May be that's the reason they want to talk to your employer about.
