HSBC will send the duplicate statements by post, similar to the original statements, but only with Duplicate written over it. This should be sufficient for this purpose. They don't normally issue this from the branch, but they will give you a printout on their headed paper. I think this is not enoug...

Just called Home Office and they said that the right procedure would be to leave the country and apply from the home country.
