Thanks for the reply. I may be wrong but it seems to be about "First application date for Highly Skilled Visa" but not clear which date it refers to for the ppl with HSMP visa initially (ie. application date for Aproval Letter OR application date for entry clearance). I think that would be the form...

Category for doctors-in-training after foundation?

Which category would that fall under - 1 or 2? A doctor-in-training who was on the Postgraduate Doctor and Dentist Visa for the Foundation Programme and has been given a place for further training in a speciality?

Thank you.

Until such time that the government issues a statement of change in the parliament or announces the exact details of changes in the immigration rules and issues a revised policy guidance, any statement made in the said document is subject to individual interpretation! So, in my humble opinion, bein...

Does this guidance apply to for those through Umbrellas? That is aimed at those who operate through an umbrella company, I think. The net income will be expense minus i.e suppose you earn 100 pounds and make an expense of 30 pounds now your taxable income will be 100-30=70 . On 70 pounds you will p...

Different modes of contracting?

PAYE, umbrella companies and limited companies all have different hourly rates, costs and nett rates. I would appreciate some input and advice from those with experience contracting on which route is the most cost-effective, gives the best nett rates and the least complicated for someone who may be ...

Which are the better newspapers for job advertisements?

Thought it might be worthwhile to buy newspapers regularly for the classifieds. Which are typically the better ones for job advertisements e.g. the ones with more advertisements or which attract advertisements from the larger companies?

Or should I not bother with newspapers at all?

Thank you.

Applying for a National Insurance number.

What documents are required to apply for an NI number at JobCentres for a jobseeker? The quantity of documents listed on http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTAxCreditsAndOtherSupport/BeginnersGuideToBenefits/DG_10014073 for proof of identity is rather subjective. Can someone with...

Annoying, isn't it? I get that too from some agents.

Trouble is, some may have genuine vacancies despite being hardwired to fish. I once refused to disclose those details to an agency which subsequently arranged to send me to a company I had already been sent to by another agency. It got messy.

Multiple entries and chest x-ray requirements

I'm on a Tier 1 General visa which allows multiple entries. On my initial entry, I was sent to Health Control at Heathrow where they did a checkup and x-ray - I had not brought one with me as it was a short one week trip for personal reasons but despite showing them my return ticket and hotel reserv...
