I think I know where the problem is that the funds of £2,800 or £800 have been in the bank for at least three months and the balance has always been at least £2,800 or £800, as appropriate If the letter didn't address the point highlighted in blue, I would also agree with the CW. regards The le...

Further all evidences provided should be original - no copies are allowed. No where in the policy guidance it is stated that the letter should state activity. If the above points are covered in the letter - then it is sufficient. That's true. My mistake, I guess. I should have submitted the origina...

What do you mean by bank book? And what do you mean when you say letter from bank was primary evidence and "copy" of bank book as secondary (additional) evidence?? regards I'm sorry, the official term used is Savings Account pass book. I submitted copies of it, certified by the bank, as I wanted to...

EC rejected, maintenance - letter. Help!

My EC has been refused and I would really appreciate some advice on what went wrong and how to proceed. The reason cited was that I did not meet the Maintenance requirements. I have in fact, maintained the required balance for more than four months immediately preceeding it. I submitted a letter fro...

yes oooo. Renew ur passport at the issuing passport office.Shouldn't be a problem to renew ur passport where you are. Just do that before sending it in. If not, ECO will issue visa based on validity date on passport. ~1971. Seriously? Thanks for the info, 1971! I asked VFS and they told me that it ...

Thanks Mr Baboo! That makes sense. In that case, I suppose the thing to do would be to apply for another 2 year extension and qualify for ILR when the 5 years have been accumulated?

You can't be absent for more than 6 months in total (of the qualifying 5 year period) but no single gap should be longer than 3 months. Hi Mr Baboo, I was wondering if that 3 month limit applies to the initial period of the Tier 1 visa too? Specifically, would entering the UK more than 3 months aft...

Was it a bachelors degree in nursing that you obtained then? Perhaps you can check with NARIC whether it is equivalent to a UK bachelors qualification.

EC - letter as sole proof of accommodation?

I was going to submit an invitation letter from a friend as proof of accommodation arrangements and her telephone bill as proof of her address. It's been quite a long time and I have not received the bill, which was sent after the letter. It may be lost in the post. I'm not sure if I should wait for...

Yes, you should definitely contact them. It would be helpful if you can show them documentation or quote from an official source such as the UK Border Agency on the matter.

As rajesh9pl said, you'll need to get them translated. Check the guidance or with VFS for the criteria that must be met for your translator and translated documents. You should also submit both the original and translated documents.

Thanks for the link! That is reassuring. Requesting for a post-dated leave to enter (max. 3 months) is one thing, duration / validity of entry clearance another and actually entering UK yet another. What's worrying you? If you could explain a bit more clearly. Well basically, I am concerned about th...

Please adhere to the EC requirements of the country you apply from. :D There does seem to be a slight variation from co...

Re: Cleared HSMP - Query on EC under Tier1

1. I had given the previous Earning proof from March 2007 - Feb 2008 for my HSMP Application. That included my payslips and Bank statement. Now while applying for EC, do I need to give the details for the same period or I'll have to give the details of last 12 months immediately before the EC appli...

Re: HSMP

Personel details form should be filled completely but Appendix1 once Part one is completed we can directly go to Part 7 of the form skipping Part 2 to 6. I agree! That's what I told the customer service officer I spoke to but he said that all parts should be filled. I'm wondering if they'll make me...

I was wondering if a friend's invitation letter and telephone bill would suffice? Are the tenancy agreement and passport copy required too? Can't seem to find guidelines on this.
