In fact I actually dated it myself too. Really hope its ok. Dont quite know pal. So I would suggest wait for confirmation from some other members too.

Quick update, private ceremony over on 24th February, sent passport application yesterday, for myself and wife. Applying for her passport in her married name, using a deed poll.

I would like to thank the forum for being so helpful, really helps calm the nerves.

You can do it earlier but date it on or after ceremony. I date mine as the date of the ceremony.

So for the passport I have gone for a deed poll for my wife, signed by my manager at work who is a British citizen. IIRC they told you on phone that your approval was despatched on the 10th of February, any luck with the approval letter or call from the council for ceremony yet?

Mine was despatched on the 11th apparently, but no updates yet.

We may have started celebrating a little bit too early. I called the council for a private appointment, they have no knowledge of my approval yet, and I have not received the letter either.

Guess another weeks wait or so looking at royal mail times for second class post at the moment.

Congrats TTOE mate. So what did you choose for your wife, maiden name or married name on the certificate? In my wifes case its going to be her maiden name, but when applying for passport we will be using deedpoll to get it in her married name.
