No, you wont have to send it again for the extension application. Just mention the same in your cover letter and the summary sheet at the end of the application.

Hey Imran,

Thanks for taking the trouble of actually getting the facts from the horse's mouth on this one, and updating the forum on the same.

So I guess the best way for new applicants is to go for Royal Mail Special Delivery!!!

Well for once I did the safest thing and attached a self addressed RM SD envelope. So I guess I am covered for the strike, making a huge assumption that everything will go well! :)

Hi Duvvuri,

This has been discussed in the forum a couple of times earlier. Please have a look at:

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=45775

It is always a good idea to have a quick search before starting a new thread.

Cheers

Hi Prabhus,

Thanks for the tip.

When I go online, there is a section in the left called Card details, in that there is a credit balance number, but for me it does not reflect the fees being debited, would it reflect in there, or would i have to call the bank for an update?

Well when I applied for initial HSMP I also faced the problem that HO officials wont sign and so many couriers wont accept it.

I used Mailboxes Etc to get around this problem. They are really good and fast, you might speak to Frank at MBE.

Well my understanding is Special delivery and recorded delivery would still work. In case you have used any of these methods you should be fine.

Maybe other members can confirm my understanding on this.

Hey gotcha, How you doing, not heard from you in a long time. Anyways, it does not work that way in LLoyds bank online credit card statements. I have heard it works that way for hsbc and many of my friends have been able to determine if their payments were successful using this method. Alas! Cheers

Well unless you are expecting the case worker to have memorized the form, you would have to include the index. There have been questions about whether we should attach irrelevant sections, like for my case Section 3A and 3B, but for good measure I have sent that as well. So better send the entire fo...

Hi busybee, Unfortunately I have not received anything at all from the HO. I called them and they said they cant confirm about the payment, I need to speak to the bank. I called my bank but the transaction appears in their system in 2-3 days time after it is made so obviously they have no clue. So a...

My cover letter was a combination of the cover letters posted on the forum by various people. I also added a lot of content on my own. The whole letter is around 5 pages in MSWord, so woul...

Thanks Chetan. I made my wife call them twice to make sure they noted it somewhere that this transaction should not be blocked. But in the end they always add a disclaimer, that this system is automated so it may afterall block the transaction and you can call us back to unblock it, so I guess it wi...

Payment confirmation

Hi Forum, My application reached the Home office on Friday (9th October) morning. I have given my wife's credit card details for payment. I was wondering which would be the quickest way to know if the payment went through or not. I called the bank on Friday evening and they had no information on any...

Thats sad k820, and scary as well. I cant believe they would do that. A cover letter is anyways something to help them find documents, and not something which should supercede attached documentation. I honestly feel you should appeal against this, if you have been given the option to. As mentioned b...

Never mind MITM2 it could happen to anyone. About the cover letter, I have a strong suspicion they would try to shy away from it, but you should be able to twist their arms and get it. However, if you provide bank statements covering a 3 months period not earlier than 1 month when you apply, you sho...

Hi MITM2, That was funny, HTH == Hope This Helps. :). Yeah in Cambridge they told me I could get a print online and they would stamp and sign it. Yeah make a fuss, these guys deserve it. I finally waited for my routine monthly statement to come in by post, and then send my application 10 days late d...

Hi MITM2, I am based in Cambridge and I was offered stamped and signed statements by Lloyds Cambridge, though to be safe I finally waited for the paper statement to arrive. Although it is unreasonable you might want to come here and get it stamped from one of these branches. Or you can fight against...

Very well put Chetan. Its basically a choice you make. But for 8-9 pounds, it is not a bad choice to go for some peace of mind. Well my peace of mind has been pretty much shattered by the reported new Tier1 dependant form valid from 5th October, I posted my wife's dependant application yesterday (8t...
